The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, March 30 Recap – Diane's Appearance Blows Jack's Mind

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 30, teases that Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) big reveal will rock Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) while Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) fears Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) is a con artist. Let’s discuss what’s coming up in Wednesday’s shocking Y&R episode.

At a café in Los Angeles, Jack will meet with Allie and learn she’s getting her master’s degree in chemical engineering.

That news will please Jack since Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) used to work with Ashley in the Jabot lab years ago.

Allie will suddenly start panicking over Jack thinking she’s hitting him up for a job.

Allie will insist she doesn’t want anything from Jack, but he’ll assure Allie that she simply misinterpreted his reaction.

Allie will get a bit embarrassed, so they’ll start over the conversation and have a bit more luck.

There’ll be another bump in the road when Jack talks about his mother’s death.

Allie will feel like Jack had so much more time with her, but Jack will admit the relationship was complex.

Jack will suggest he wasn’t as close to Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) as Allie was to Keemo.

Allie will insist she loved her dad more than anyone in the world and will seem somewhat agitated.

However, Allie will ultimately acknowledge that this stuff is hard to talk about, especially since they barely know each other.

Although Allie will make excuses to rush off, she’ll suggest maybe they could get together one more time before Jack heads home.

Jack will smile as he admits he’d like that very much.

Back in Genoa City, Ashley will gush over sleeping Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) at the Chancellor mansion.

Ashley will also quiz Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) about how they’re doing, so Chance will talk about his progress in therapy and desire to go back to work.

Although Ashley will seem uneasy about Chance returning to work so soon, she’ll assure Abby and Chance that she supports them.

Ashley will convince Abby to get a mani-pedi with her, but she’ll have an ulterior motive.

On their way out, Ashley will drop the bomb about Keemo’s death on Ashley. She’ll also admit Jack had a granddaughter that he never knew about.

Ashley will want to talk to Abby about all of that and will ultimately confront Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) at The Grand Phoenix.

After Ashley voices her concerns about this suspicious situation, she’ll wonder what Phyllis was thinking – or if she was even thinking at all.

Ashley won’t think it was wise for Phyllis to nudge Jack toward connecting with Allie.

When Phyllis argues that Allie didn’t strike her as a schemer, Ashley will counter that Allie could be a fantastic con artist and will want to tell Jack to back off.

Phyllis will contend that Ashley is the one who needs to back off and stop trying to take this away from Jack.

Abby will eventually play peacemaker, so Phyllis will settle down and urge Ashley to trust that Jack is smart enough to do the right thing.

Later, Jack will call Phyllis and admit he felt like he really connected with Allie in the end.

Jack will feel hopeful since Allie floated the idea of meeting again while he was on this trip.

As for Abby, she’ll urge Ashley to see that maybe Phyllis is right – that Jack needs to go on this journey.

Even so, Ashley will have a gnawing feeling that trouble is ahead.

Next, Allie will drop by the house she just sold with a housewarming gift for “Taylor Jensen” aka Diane.

Allie will thank “Taylor” for all the advice regarding family and will admit she just came from a meeting with her grandfather.

“Taylor” will be pleased over the positive updates and will hope Allie might do her a favor if she’s not overstepping.

Soon after, a confused Jack will arrive at the house after being summoned. Allie will mention that the woman she sold the house to asked to meet Jack.

Although Allie didn’t see the harm, Jack’s puzzled reaction will make her wonder if she was wrong to bring him there.

Suddenly, Diane will appear and leave Jack reeling at the sight of her.

Jack will stammer that it can’t be – clearly trying to wrap his head around the fact that Diane is alive.

After Diane confirms that it’s true, she’ll tell Jack that she’s waited a very long time for this moment.

Jack will continue to look absolutely floored over this back-from-the-dead encounter.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will fret over Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), who’s been staying out late with all sorts of new women.

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will downplay it as Noah having fun and will do his best to reassure Sharon.

In bed, Noah will wake up to a note from the woman he had in his bed last night.

She’ll tell Noah not to be a stranger, but he’ll ultimately seem frustrated by current romantic situation and will crumple the note.

Noah will show up at the coffeehouse looking rather disheveled and will do his best to dodge Sharon’s questions.

Once Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) arrive, Noah will show them some wedding designs he’s been working on and leave them amazed.

Tessa and Mariah will settle on the one they like best before Mariah steps away for some celebratory lattes.

At the counter, Sharon will pump Mariah for info on how Noah seems to her.

Mariah won’t be surprised that Sharon’s grown son doesn’t want to share every detail of his life and will think Noah seems fine.

On the patio, Tessa will sense that Noah isn’t himself these days.

Tess will keep pushing and pushing until Noah admits he doesn’t know what’s going on or what he’s even doing anymore.

At the Chancellor mansion, Chance will tell Rey that he’s truly ready to go back to work and will spell out all the reasons why.

Rey will agree to take the idea to Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), who’ll approve Chance’s return to duty in the morning.

Abby will be taken aback when she learns Chance is headed back to work so soon, but she’ll assure him of her support.

Chance will feel like it’s time to get the rest of his life back, so Abby will embrace her husband and express how proud she is of him.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance and Abby could still have some surprising obstacles ahead, so stay tuned.
