The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of January 24-28 teases that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will make a scary discovery while Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) fury erupts. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will also get ambushed in the best possible way, so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
First, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will feel like she’s giving Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) everything she could possibly want, but what’s she getting in return?
Chloe will suggest Chelsea is selfishly making demands without giving back anything – and Chloe will be sick of it!
All Chloe has really asked of Chelsea is to ignore Adam and get along with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
It’s the Sally part that’ll really rile Chloe up, so Chelsea will be on her own when it comes to finding a solution.
As for Adam, he’ll confide in Sally and second-guess that decision in the aftermath.
Adam will spill all his Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) troubles and deliver Chelsea updates, too.
Sally will appreciate Adam’s willingness to open up, but he’ll seem a little on edge over the possibility of Sally blabbing.
When it comes to Sally and Chelsea’s constant bickering, Adam won’t want to wade into that.
Adam will think it’s best if Sally flies solo on putting the feud to rest – and Adam will make it clear Sally’s job could be on the line.
Adam will worry about Sally fighting a battle she can’t win when it comes to Chelsea, but Sally will express confidence that she can hold her own.
Later, Adam will confront Victor, who’ll seem tempted to move forward with a deal to make Newman Media part of the Newman-Locke brand.
Victor has a nasty habit of pitting his children against each other, so Adam will suspect that’s happening once again.
Adam will want to know what’ll happen to him if Victor hands Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) this major victory.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will deliver a fierce warning to someone, so we’ll see who’s on the receiving end.
Nikki might warn Adam that Victor is still his boss – or maybe Nikki will be more concerned about Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and the possibility of him overstepping again.
Ashland poses a powerful threat as far as Victor’s concerned, so Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will try to figure out what this guy’s all about.
That means pushing Ashland’s buttons in person and digging around into Ashland’s medical background.
Ashland hasn’t been completely honest with Victoria, so his small-cell lung carcinoma diagnosis was perhaps never legit.
It’ll be interesting to see how this storyline heats up, especially now once Michael’s working hard to uncover everything there is to know.
Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will hear about Abby and Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) decision to share custody with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Although Mariah will try to understand the complexity of the situation, she’ll seem rather unsettled over the news.
Tessa will worry about Mariah, so she’ll end up opening up to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) a little later.
Fortunately, Mariah will seem just fine when she corners Tessa out of the blue and drags her off for an exciting surprise.
Tessa will end up getting ambushed by a marriage proposal on the Crimson Lights patio.
That’s where Mariah will have some mementos ready as part of her big spiel.
Mariah will take her turn to pop the question, so Tessa will accept a new engagement ring and further seal their future together.
Next on Y&R, Noah will make an admission and get some guidance from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so hopefully this dad can help his son navigate through any additional heartbreak.
Speaking of heartbreak, Abby will face more of it due to how much Chance is struggling.
Chance will mull over a letter that leaves him upset late at night, so that’ll find some way to trigger his trauma.
Abby will discover Chance looking quite distraught, so she’ll definitely worry about his mental health.
Of course, all of this might go down while Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) is spending his first overnight visit at Devon’s penthouse.
That could leave Abby glad for the opportunity to focus solely on Chance, but the separation could also make the night an even more difficult one.
As for Devon and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), they should have a blast with Dom and revel in the shared custody changes.
After Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) contemplates an Italy job offer, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will make his way back to town – perhaps right when he’s needed most!
Jack will find some turmoil in Genoa City once he comes home, so he’ll have to put out some fires right off the bat.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will need to lean on Jack for support soon, so stay tuned.
