The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of May 16 to May 20 teases that Allison Lanier will debut as a Summer Newman recast, so Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will meet Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) wife in an upcoming scene.
Y&R’s weekly preview video has an exciting first glimpse at Summer’s return to Genoa City, where she’ll enter the Abbott mansion and introduce herself to Allie.
It’s one thing to see pics and imagine a recast, but it doesn’t compare to seeing the real thing in action!
Although it always takes some getting used to when a new actor takes over, Lanier looks fabulous in the preview clip and definitely gives off a Summer vibe.
It’ll be interesting to see what Summer and Kyle’s chemistry is like now that Lanier is taking over for Hunter King.
Of course, Kyle was all set to head back to Milan with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) until he remembered Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) wedding was rapidly approaching.
Summer urged Kyle to stay and decided to come join him in GC instead, so she’ll also be at Tessa and Mariah’s nuptials.
Mariah has had her ups and downs with “Snowflake” over the years, but they’ve both grown up a lot through recent experiences and seem to be on good terms now.
Kyle agreed to officiate and granted a big wedding wish for Mariah, so it’s nice to know everything’s coming together in the nick of time.
The ceremony and “afterparty” as Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) called it are sure to be swanky since they’ve got a ‘70s glam theme.
This preview video shows Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) all dressed up as they appreciate the effort Noah put into designing the space.
Top of the Tower will have a whole new look for this special occasion, where there’ll be plenty of other guests.
The rest of the clip offers a peek at Kyle, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) and finally Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), who gives Mariah and Tessa a fun intro.
“Everyone, please take a seat so we can celebrate our super funky couple and lift them up with the power of our love,” Faith says in the preview video.
