The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Y&R May Sweeps Preview – Deadly Fallout, Enraging Betrayals & Brewing Heartbreak

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we’ve got a May sweeps preview to share, so let’s go over some deadly fallout, enraging betrayals and brewing heartbreak.

First, we should talk about Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and his determination to remain part of Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) life.

That’s understandably going to drive Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) up the wall since Victor paid half a billion dollars to get rid of this guy!

Nevertheless, the heart wants what it wants. Ashland truly fell in love with Victoria despite his initial cruel intentions, so he’ll be working overtime to make things up to her.

Victoria will definitely have an inner battle going on since she knows Ashland is a manipulative liar, but she can’t just turn her feelings off – especially not when Ashland saved her from a grim fate.

As far as the leadership situation at Newman-Locke goes, there’ll be a new co-CEO in the picture.

Victoria will throw Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a curveball by promoting Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to work alongside her instead of him.

That’ll leave Adam seething – and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will be just as angry since she thought Adam earned a place at the top.

Fortunately, Adam and Sally will still have each other. They’ll find themselves feeling like soulmates who don’t have to hide who they really are.

Other Y&R spoilers say Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have a lot on his plate.

Nick will monitor the family corporate drama to make sure Adam doesn’t do anything too vengeful and crazy. You can never be too careful when it comes to Adam!

Nick will also step up to console Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and will really be her rock as she tries to heal from the loss of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).

As for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), she’ll have to come to grips with that loss as well.

That means Chelsea will need to accept that her feelings for Rey went beyond just friendly ones.

Chelsea was falling in love with Rey, even if she doesn’t want to admit it.

That doesn’t make it right or mean anything would’ve necessarily happened, but none of it matters now that Rey’s gone anyway.

The point is Chelsea will be in pain and will have to find a way forward. Rey’s death will put Chelsea on a new path as she does her best to cope.

In an effort to honor Rey, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will resolve to close all his partner’s old cases. That’ll help with Chance’s emotional recovery since he’ll have a project to throw himself into.

Chance may uncover a shocker or two along the way thanks to these mysteries that still need solving.

Next, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will work hard to earn Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) forgiveness, but that’s going to be a slow process.

It’ll take time to rebuild everything Diane tore apart, but she’ll slowly pull Kyle closer as they form a bond.

However, that doesn’t mean Diane is as reformed as she claims to be!

As Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) inch toward becoming a real couple again, Diane may find ways to hinder that reunion.

Summer Newman will also return as Allison Lanier takes over the role.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will reconnect with her loved ones in Genoa City, but there could be some Diane issues in her marriage to Kyle.

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) Friday the 13th wedding is coming up, so that’ll bring a spectacular can’t-miss event on May 13.

Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) also has something special in the works to celebrate 40 years on the show.

Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will remain concerned about Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and his refusal to walk away from risky Newman work.

Although Lauren will try to support Michael, it’s easy to see why she’ll worry since he got stuck in a Peruvian prison not too long ago.

The Chancellor Winters merger will lead to some relationship troubles, so look for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to face issues.

They’ll struggle to see each other very much now that Nate’s throwing himself into this new job.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will continue to feel like an outsider due to the family nature of this merger, so that could pull him away from Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) somewhat and spark a new connection instead.

Will Billy’s surprising bond be a platonic one or something more romantic?

Either way, Billy and Lily’s relationship could take a hit once he starts turning to someone else as a confidant.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say May sweeps will be packed full of action, so stay tuned!
