The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for week of August 8-12 teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will offer Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a Jabot job while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) searches for some missing puzzle pieces.
Y&R’s weekly preview video kicks off with Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) warning to Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway).
In response to something Nikki says, Abby will realize she wants Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to back off the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) case.
Nikki may act like Chance is dragging out the torment for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and contend that it’d be better for the whole family if he dropped this.
Perhaps Nikki will hint that Abby should encourage Chance to let it go.
Abby may lash out if she feels pressured, especially since Chance is such a boy scout when it comes to his work.
However, Abby also knows how Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) operates and may realize Chance will likely dig up some trouble.
Over with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), she’ll grow concerned about how Sally intends to handle the Ashland story.
Chloe will worry that Sally might’ve threatened the Newmans to score more information, but Sally won’t seem scared of them.
Sally will contend that there are still missing pieces of the puzzle and will vow to find them with Chloe’s help.
Of course, Chloe’s worries may intensify if she fears she’ll be caught up in Newman family drama.
Next, Jack will give Adam a pep talk and suggest there are so many opportunities for him to prove himself to the world.
As they chat at Society, Jack will admit he can think of one opportunity off the top of his head.
That’ll lead to Jack offering Adam a job at Jabot, so you can bet Adam will be surprised.
This would certainly give Adam a shot at fully breaking free from the Newmans – not to mention it’d get under Victor’s skin.
Victor would much rather have Adam back in the Newman fold, so Adam could push his buttons if he starts working with the Abbotts instead.
Even so, it’ll be a big decision that Adam has to put some serious thought into.
Adam is definitely at a crossroads and will have to figure out what the next chapter of his life’s going to look like.
