Days of Our Lives Recap: Monday, July 10 – Eavesdropper’s New Secret, BFF’s Ultimate Betrayal and Shocking Neighbors

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, July 10, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) found a great apartment, so they agreed to sign the lease right before Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) interrupted.

Brady admitted he was apartment-hunting too, so he was upset to have lost out on another place and thought he could use a better realtor.

However, Brady congratulated Stephanie and Chad on their new home before congratulating Chad on his new job as well.

Chad hadn’t accepted Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) offer yet, but Brady admitted he heard about it from Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).

At the Kiriakis mansion, Alex appeared with packed luggage right as Maggie was doing business with someone over the phone. Maggie clammed up and acted like it was sensitive info before she disconnected.

After Alex revealed that he was moving out, he bickered with Maggie about the work drama that had gone down between them.

Once Maggie softened a bit and pointed out that they were still family, she asked where Alex would live. Alex said he’d let Maggie know and headed out to find his new home.

Next on Monday’s Days episode, Alex showed up at Stephanie’s new apartment while she was waiting for the realtor to bring the paperwork over.

Once Alex heard about Stephanie moving in that apartment with Chad, she also admitted Chad had decided to take Maggie up on her offer at Titan.

Stephanie hoped this wouldn’t set back her progress with Alex since she really wanted them to be friends, so he said he wanted that, too.

Meanwhile, Chad paid Maggie a visit to formally accept her offer, so they hoped to achieve great things together and embraced over the Titan deal.

Maggie also mentioned that Alex moved out earlier, so Chad was surprised over the news.

After Chad reconvened with Stephanie, Alex brought their lease and keys to them since the realtor asked him to.

Stephanie and Chad were stunned when Alex revealed that he’d taken the apartment right across from them, so he’d be their new neighbor.

In the town square on Monday’s DOOL show, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) kept quiet about her knowledge that Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) was using Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and offered well wishes on the engagement.

Although Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) was in a foul mood at The Spectator, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) lifted his spirits with updates on a major ad sale.

That led to Xander initiating lovemaking, so Gwen walked in on the passionate encounter and was disgusted.

Chloe buttoned her shirt back up and made herself scarce while Xander got dressed again as well.

Gwen took this opportunity to let Xander know that she was officially engaged to Dimitri, but he remained concerned about Dimitri being untrustworthy.

Xander reminded Gwen of Dimitri’s awful past, but she pointed out that she was no angel either.

When Xander questioned if this was about him moving on with Chloe, Gwen insisted it wasn’t.

That said, Gwen didn’t think her motives mattered since Xander was with Chloe anyway – and now Gwen was moving on with a man who only wanted her.

At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) broke free from Dimitri’s kiss and slapped him. Dimitri was undeterred as he eventually removed his shirt.

Leo assumed Dimitri was just trying to satisfy him in bed and convince him to keep the inheritance scheme from Gwen, but he wasn’t interested in some straight dude trying to take advantage of him.

Dimitri insisted he wasn’t straight and assured Leo that he’d been attracted to him from the very beginning.

Although Leo struggled to buy it, Dimitri claimed he was gay and said he had a lifetime of practicing hiding it.

Dimitri convinced Leo to sleep with him, but Leo felt guilty about Gwen getting duped.

In the aftermath, Leo pushed Dimitri to walk back his proposal to Gwen, but Dimitri pointed out that she’d already accepted it.

Leo also questioned whether the codicil specified that Dimitri had to marry someone of the female persuasion, but Dimitri pointed out that he came from an old-world family with old-world views.

Dimitri indeed had to marry a woman, but he hoped to keep sleeping with Leo and said he’d take care of Gwen in his own way.

Downstairs, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) armed herself with a fire poker, but the intruder from the DiMera tunnels turned out to be Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) after she snuck away from camp.

Rachel was upset over Kristen not saying goodbye before she left, but Kristen explained that mean Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) had locked her up in the basement.

After Rachel reminded Kristen of how she was supposed to be fighting Brady’s full custody, Kristen pointed out how hard it was to get someone to take her case. Even so, Rachel was hopeful that they could figure something out.

Once Brady found out about Rachel’s disappearance from camp, he guessed she went to see Kristen.

On Monday’s Days episode, Brady confronted Kristen at the DiMera mansion, but Kristen played dumb and acted quite upset over his revelation.

Although Brady pushed Kristen to cut the act, she continued to deny knowing where Rachel was and said she’d tell Brady if she did.

Rachel eavesdropped around the corner before rushing upstairs, where she stood outside of Dimitri’s room and listened in on his conversation with Leo.

After Dimitri promised Leo that he wasn’t tricking him, Leo promised to keep their romance a secret – though Rachel was already in the loop on the other side of the door!

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Rachel could become a big problem for Leo and Dimitri, so stay tuned!
