Days of Our Lives Recap: Monday, July 3 – Emergency Surgery, Shocking Arrest and Pressured Love Profession

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, July 3, reveals that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) found Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) lurking in front of The Bistro and assumed he was thinking about crashing Gabi Hernandez’s (Camila Banus) engagement party. Li pretended that was right and acted like Rafe had saved him from making a mistake.

At the big bash on Monday’s Days episode, armed Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) claimed he was on a mission to take out Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and revealed that he was operating on Li’s orders.

Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) smiled to herself since she knew Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) had successfully made Harris believe this was all Li’s idea.

Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) struggled to believe that her brother would do something like this, but Stefan pointed out that Li tried to pull the plug on him when he was in a coma.

Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) realized Harris had been brainwashed again, so they tried their best to get through to him.

Gabi also begged for a chance to call Li since she thought she could get him to call off the mission, but Harris was set on following orders.

When an armed Rafe appeared and distracted Harris for a moment, Gabi jumped on Harris’ back and tried to prevent him from firing at Stefan.

A shot rang out before Megan looked down and realized she’d been wounded by mistake.

Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) held an unconscious Megan in his arms and worried about how much blood she was losing.

Once Megan was rushed to the hospital on Monday’s Days episode, she was immediately taken back for emergency surgery.

Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) assured Dimitri that his mother would pull through this and refused to leave him alone, so he seemed to be developing genuine feelings as they embraced.

At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days show, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) kissed Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) in a close moment, but he ultimately insisted they couldn’t do this because of Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).

Nicole was apologetic, but she also felt like EJ had abandoned her along with the baby. Even if Nicole did find EJ, she acted like his excuses wouldn’t be good enough.

Although Nicole acknowledged that Eric would’ve been a perfect father to her little one, she knew she had to face some tough realities with EJ.

Down in the secret room, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) questioned EJ and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) about how they ended up there.

Kristen and EJ knew Megan was to blame, but they couldn’t remember why they had been held hostage.

After Kristen suspected they’d been given something to erase certain memories, Leo wondered if this had something to do with what Megan was plotting with Dimitri.

Kristen said that sounded familiar, but EJ believed this news was about someone else and that the stakes were higher.

After Kristen pushed Leo to untie them, he investigated the secret room alone and stole a bottle of fancy bubbly when he couldn’t find any clues.

When EJ and Kristen came out of the secret tunnels, Nicole and Eric were stunned.

EJ couldn’t recall all the details of Megan’s plot, but he assured Nicole that he’d never abandon her or their child.

Once EJ sought updates on Nicole’s recent appointment, he learned she’d likely be able to carry the baby to term and kissed her since he was so overjoyed.

Upstairs, EJ quizzed Nicole about Eric’s presence earlier, so she said he was there for a very good reason – though she didn’t want to get into that right now.

Nicole also revealed that Eric took her to the hospital after she got some bad cramping and let EJ know she was OK.

Although Nicole suggested EJ knew how she felt about him, he reminded her that she didn’t reciprocate his love profession.

Nicole acted like this whole ordeal made her realize that she indeed loved EJ, but he seemed skeptical and thought maybe he’d pressured her into saying it back.

After Nicole offered reassurance, she moved in for a kiss and tried to get rid of EJ’s doubts.

Back downstairs, Kristen called the police to report a kidnapping, but it became clear she didn’t remember enough to press charges against Megan.

In the town square, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) consoled Wendy as she realized just how heartless Li really was.

Chad and Stephanie also watched over Harris at The Bistro, where he was restrained while Rafe dealt with other matters.

As for Stefan, he ripped into Gabi for putting her own life on the line to save him, but he was still grateful.

Stefan assured Gabi that no one was going to get in the way of their happily ever after.

At home, Li had a fantasy of Gabi rushing over after Harris successfully wiped out Stefan.

In that daydream, Gabi acted like Li was the only man she wanted and pushed him to ravish her since she could mourn Stefan later.

Afterward, Gabi stopped by for real – and Stefan eventually emerged through the door behind her. Stefan told Li not to bury him just yet before Rafe appeared.

Rafe handcuffed Li as he placed him under arrest, so that brought Monday’s DOOL episode to a shocking conclusion!

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Li will have an interrogation at the Salem PD soon, so don’t miss what’s in store.
