Days of Our Lives Recap: Thursday, October 26 – Konstantin’s Gift Blows Maggie Away – Sarah’s Job – Steve Warns Chad

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 26, reveals that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) spoke to Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) over the phone and reiterated that he was ready to do whatever it took to get custody of Victoria Horton.

When Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) showed up at the door, she put Xander on full blast for trying to take her granddaughter away and make Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) seem like an unfit mother.

Xander argued that Sarah was indeed unfit because she lied about the paternity – and he lashed out at Maggie for lying to him, too.

Maggie explained why she couldn’t go against Sarah’s wishes, so Xander softened and apologized.

When Xander asked how Maggie was coping with Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) demise, she admitted Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) visit was helping.

Xander was glad to hear that and got some advice from Maggie about putting Victoria first. After Maggie said she hoped Xander and Sarah could work things out, she headed out.

At the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Konstantin spoke to Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) over the phone.

Theresa insisted she was playing the long game with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) since she didn’t want to scare him off.

Sarah overheard Konstantin mention Xander during that phone call, so he made up a story about gossiping to someone in Greece about the custody drama.

Since Xander had a bad reputation there, Konstantin acted like he was just sharing his latest transgression.

Konstantin also met little Victoria and offered to put her down for her nap. Once Sarah was gone, Konstantin whispered to Victoria about her namesake being a “son of a bitch.”

When Maggie returned, Konstantin revealed a giant portrait of Victor that’s been commissioned as a gift. Maggie was overwhelmed with gratitude and eventually left the room to fix her makeup after all the tears.

Konstantin spoke to Victor’s portrait and suggested he shouldn’t have to settle for just a cut of Alex’s fortune. After Konstantin indicated he could take all of Maggie’s, he acted like Victor would be able to watch it all now.

In the park on Thursday’s Days episode, Theresa was horrified when Alex stumbled over looking like he was covered in blood.

Alex assured Theresa that he was fine and explained that some protestors were upset about Titan disturbing some turtles’ habitat. Since they felt like Titan had blood on their hands, they had thrown fake blood all over Alex’s dress shirt.

Alex hinted that he might need some help showering and changing, so he tried to convince Theresa to join him.

However, Theresa thought they should stick with Alex’s idea about getting to know each other better and convinced him to take her to lunch.

Once Alex was in fresh clothes, he headed to the town square with Thersea and sat at a restaurant table with her. Xander eventually sauntered over to warn Alex about Theresa going after his fortune, so Theresa seemed nervous.

Afterward, Theresa hoped Alex didn’t buy what Xander was saying, but Alex assured Theresa that he knew Xander was just jealous of him being Victor’s heir.

Meanwhile, someone came to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) door, but there was nobody there when Chad opened it.

Chad was dressed as a vampire and waited for Stephanie as she put the finishing touches on her own costume. When Stephanie finally appeared wearing a witchy look that included a tiara, Chad seemed unsettled.

Stephanie wondered what was wrong, so Chad admitted that Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) wore an almost identical costume the last time they celebrated Halloween together.

Since Stephanie didn’t want to upset Chad or the kids, she took the costume off and just went to the pub in her regular clothes.

Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) brought Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) to the pub after school, so they showed off their costumes and got some candy.

Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) were all there helping put the treat bags together.

Once Chad and Stephanie showed up, Stephanie faced questions about plain attire. That led to Stephanie suggesting the costume she selected wasn’t quite right and didn’t really fit anyway.

Kayla had to get to work on Thursday’s Days episode, but she pulled Steve aside and warned him not to pressure Chad with any more marriage talk.

However, Steve wound up talking to Chad privately about how Stephanie moved in with him and was helping him raise his kids. No matter what Stephanie said, Steve thought she was ready and hoping for marriage.

If Chad couldn’t give Stephanie what she needed and wasn’t in this for the long haul, Steve suggested that Chad should end it for the sake of all parties involved.

Later, Chad cornered Stephanie and pushed for an honest answer. Stephanie got uncomfortable as Chad asked if she was telling the truth when she said she didn’t want to get married.

At the hospital on Thursday’s DOOL show, Sarah was grateful when Kayla agreed to hire her back part-time since this news could help with her custody case.

Sarah also ran into Xander in the town square, but she refused to sit down for a coffee and try to talk things out. Instead, Sarah said she’d see Xander in court and dashed off.

Back with Kayla, she got an office visit from an uneasy Steve, who hinted that he may have made trouble for Chad and Stephanie.
