Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and update for Friday, December 29, reveal that New Year’s Eve will kick off in Salem, so look for many of the town’s residents to head to The Bistro. That’s where a big bash will get underway to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another.
DOOL fans know Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) suggested attending this party with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), so that’s indeed where they’re going on their second attempt at a real first date.
Days spoilers say Holly will have a close call with Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker), who’ll nearly catch her daughter with a secret pill stash. However, Holly will manage to conceal them in the end and avoid causing alarm.
Once Tate arrives to pick Holly up, he’ll gush over how amazing she looks.
From there, Days spoilers say Holly will make a surprising move when she kisses Tate before the date truly even starts.
Holly won’t want to spend the whole evening worrying about how that midnight smooch might go, so she’ll go ahead and plant one on Tate right off the bat. Since Tate will presumably enjoy it, he shouldn’t have any complaints!
Unfortunately, Holly’s going to take some of those pills and put herself in a dangerous situation.
It turns out they’re from a bad batch that Clyde Weston’s (James Read) pushing, so Holly’s going to pay the price soon.
Over with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), she’ll give Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) updates on Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) biopsy results and worry that her mom might have cancer.
The thought of losing Paulina is Chanel’s worst fear, so she’ll open up to Johnny about that.
Of course, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) insisted that more tests were needed, so Johnny may urge Chanel not to jump to conclusions and work herself into a tizzy just yet.
Even if the follow-up results prove the lump is cancerous, Johnny may assure Chanel that Paulina can tackle whatever problem comes her way.
Other Days spoilers say Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) will have a proposal for Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to consider, so he’ll push him to rehire “Lady Whistleblower” and reinstate the very popular column.
Part of Chad may want to shut Leo down hard, but another part of him may realize they could use the extra eyeballs at The Spectator.
While Chad makes a decision regarding Leo’s status at the paper, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will stop by Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) place and make a troubling discovery.
Sarah will realize Victoria Cook has a fever, so that news will give her a reason to stay the night with Xander and help take care of their baby girl.
