Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Monday, September 4, reveal that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will give John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) updates on “John Doe” (Dick Van Dyke) and his search for his son, so they’ll visit a veteran’s hospital as they seek answers.
Yvans Jordain will appear in the role of Mr. Dugan, who’ll identify Van Dyke’s character as Joseph Bell.
Mr. Dugan will talk about Joseph’s memory loss and the time he spent in the Korean war, so John will dig through some records and find that Joseph served in the same army unit as his father, Timothy Robicheaux (Tobin Bell).
Of course, there’s the possibility of an identity swap here – meaning Joseph could be the real Timothy and not know it.
That would certainly explain why this Days mystery man is looking for his long-lost son, so John may get some shocking news once this storyline moves along.
Speaking of shocking news, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will continue to reel over Theresa Donovan’s (Jen Lilley) arrival at the townhouse. Days spoilers say Theresa will offer her condolences and point out that she’s in town to pay her respects at Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) funeral.
However, it’ll quickly become apparent that Theresa’s also back in Salem hoping to score another chance with Brady.
DOOL fans can expect Theresa to try and reignite some passion, but Brady will ultimately pull away from the kiss she plants and urge her to leave.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will have a startling nightmare about Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) before showing up on Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) doorstep.
EJ will threaten to pull the trigger on Xander, but he’ll eventually hand over his weapon and urge Xander to use it on Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). The way EJ will see it, Xander needs to take Ava out to make amends for innocent Susan’s grim fate.
Nevertheless, Xander will feel like EJ just wants him to go down for the crime – that way, he’ll be punished after Ava’s rubbed out. Since Xander will refuse to cooperate, EJ will have to turn to a backup option and will call in a favor soon after.
Back at the hospital, “John Doe” aka Joseph will have some sweet scenes with Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). There’ll be some singing and dancing as three legends grace the screen together.
At Bayview, Days spoilers say Ava will suffer through more Susan hallucinations. “Susan” will keep insisting that the truth needs to come out, but Ava won’t understand what that means.
Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) will summon Marlena, who’ll use hypnosis to try and uncover Ava’s missing memories.
Although Ava will play dumb and act like she didn’t recall anything, she’ll eventually admit to Harris she indeed remembered something crucial since Susan is alive!
Finally, Theresa will spend some time sulking over Brady’s rejection until she comes face to face with Xander – and she won’t be happy to see him!
