Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, December 1, reveals that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) went out to breakfast with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) at the pub, where Chanel noticed Johnny was wearing a bracelet that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) had made for him.
Chanel thought it was further proof of Holly’s crush, but Johnny insisted it was a friendship bracelet and reminded Chanel that Holly had been crushing on EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) instead.
Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) overheard and piped up about Holly being totally over her EJ crush. As for Holly having a crush on Johnny, Tate acted like he was tight with Holly and would know if she had one.
Since Tate agreed to help Holly break up Chanel and Johnny, he kept his end of the bargain by distracting Chanel from her breakfast date. Tate claimed he wanted to pick up a second job and got Chanel to take him over to the bakery for an application.
After Chanel gave Tate the tour and handed over the application to fill out, he insisted she couldn’t go back to the pub yet. Chanel wondered why, so that put Tate in a tight spot.
At the DiMera mansion on Friday’s Days episode, Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker) lied to EJ about no longer believing Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan Petersen-Brady’s (Jessica Serfaty) baby was hers.
Even so, Nicole insisted she still had so many unanswered questions, so she needed to hear Dimitri von Leuschner’s (Peter Porte) side of the story about that night.
In the living room, Holly spoke to Eric over the phone to confirm that he was still on board with taking the baby to have a DNA test done. Eric just had to run the plan by Sloan first, so Sloan overheard part of the conversation and wondered what was going on.
Eric tried to explain the DNA test idea to Sloan, but she had to dash off after Dimitri texted her about consequences. Sloan suggested that whatever Eric and Holly had to do to convince Nicole was fine by her and took off.
Once Holly got the green light, she gave Nicole updates on the DNA test that was happening. Nicole was delighted at the thought of getting proof that this baby was her son and appreciated Holly being on her side.
Holly looked uneasy as she hugged Nicole, who quickly retrieved her toothbrush to serve as the DNA sample. When Holly asked if Nicole was nervous, Nicole made it clear that she knew deep in her soul that this baby belonged to her.
In Dimitri’s motel room, Sloan showed up and faced backlash since the judge denied her motion to get Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) murder charge dropped.
Dimitri called Nicole and wanted to talk to her about what happened to her baby, so Nicole was eager to hear what he had to say. Sloan snatched Dimitri’s phone away and disconnected the call, so Nicole ended up disappointed.
When Nicole tried to call back, Sloan ignored it and insisted telling Nicole the truth wouldn’t get Leo off the hook. Leo was facing too many other charges, so Sloan pushed Dimitri to turn himself in so that Leo could walk free.
Once Dimitri was alone on Friday’s Days episode, he heard a knock at the door and wondered who it could be.
At the police station, EJ bickered with Leo and acted like Dimitri wasn’t going to save him. Leo was all alone as far as EJ was concerned, but Sloan walked in with news since she just spoke to Dimitri.
Sloan said Dimitri was willing to turn himself in if Leo walked free, so she was eager to help Leo cut a deal and get out of there.
Back with Holly on Friday’s DOOL show, she got info via a text from Tate and found Johnny at the pub.
After Holly said she was hoping to speak with Johnny alone and keep this between the two of them, she brought up Nicole’s stolen baby claims. Holly also revealed her DNA test plan to convince Nicole that she got it wrong.
At the hospital on Friday’s Days episode, Eric showed off the baby to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and explained the reason for the DNA test.
Kayla was on board with helping convince Nicole, who walked in and handed over her toothbrush as her sample.
After Kayla suggested they may have the results back within the hour, she said Nicole and Eric could wait in her office. Nicole got excited since she believed the results would back her up and allow her to reunite with her baby.
