Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) hasn’t been honest about Susan Banks’ (Stacy Haiduk) fate – and it’s clearly haunting her now! Ava thought she was doing better, but then “Susan” began tormenting her in various visions.
Although Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) helped Ava see that Susan wasn’t really there, that didn’t stop another vision from occurring once she was alone. In the August 24 episode, “Susan” made sure Ava understood that no one could help her until she started telling the truth.
Of course, that means it’s time to speculate about what “the truth” is and why Ava hasn’t been willing to confess that part.
Ava keeps acting like Susan is deceased, but she was also worried that “Susan” was back for revenge. Could that mean that Ava knows Susan is actually alive?
Days spoilers have been hinting about Susan’s survival for a while now, so Ava’s hidden truth backs up that idea. However, DOOL will have to explain why Ava would keep that information to herself.
It’s possible Ava cut a deal with some other sinister villain – one that could backfire on her if she confesses now. Ava might fear that the person she partnered up with could target Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) if she blabs.
Regardless, Ava might know that Susan didn’t truly perish in that fiery car crash. Instead, Susan may have been whisked off to recover in someone else’s care.
There might be some ulterior motive for holding Susan captive that’ll come into focus eventually. It’ll be interesting to see if Susan is indeed a hostage and how Days fits all the puzzle pieces together.
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) can’t stop having nightmares about the crash, so he assumes that’s because he has unresolved issues regarding Susan’s fate.
Since EJ wants to avenge his mother’s demise, he feels like that must be the reason why he’s still so haunted by what happened to Susan that fateful night.
In reality, maybe it’s somehow sweet Susan’s way of reaching out to her son. Susan is connected to the spirit realm in weird, mysterious ways, so perhaps she’s trying to send a message from captivity.
Susan might be able to send a clearer sign eventually – or maybe it’ll be up to Ava to finally make a confession since she’s struggling with these visions now.
Either way, Days fans will be eager to get updates on the real Susan story. EJ will get some shocking news sooner or later and could be the one to ride to Susan’s rescue!
