General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, May 26, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) spoke to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) over the phone about trying to find dirt on Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and assured her that they weren’t going down without a fight.
Carly turned her attention back to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) before Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) showed up, so Joss mentioned asking Sonny for a favor recently and getting rejected.
Sonny clarified that he told Josslyn’s friend to come to him, but he didn’t get into the details with Carly.
After Sonny left, Carly spilled the news of Sonny and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) engagement.
Josslyn also admitted that she asked Sonny to fire Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), but Sonny said Dex would have to ask for that himself.
Once Joss hinted about her fight with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), she acted like it was because he didn’t approve of her relationship.
Even so, Josslyn knew Michael needed support since Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) procedure was today, so she joined Carly in heading to GH.
At Sonny’s place, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) showed up to see Sonny, so Nina admitted he was off sharing some news with Carly.
After Diane checked out Nina’s engagement ring, she suggested congratulations were in order…to the jeweler!
Diane was rude and kept insulting Nina, who hoped they could get past their differences and at least be cordial.
When Nina fished for info on Diane’s personal life and whether she had someone special, Diane refused to speak about private matters.
Despite Diane’s issues with Nina, she hoped Nina made Sonny happy.
When Sonny came home, he insisted on speaking with Diane in front of Nina and said the justice department might make an offer pressuring Carly to turn on him.
Sonny pointed out that he told Carly to take the deal, but she refused. Nina remained worried about what Carly would actually do if she was forced to choose between Sonny and her children.
After Nina left, Sonny pushed Diane to talk to Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and see what she could find out about the source of the SEC tip.
Sonny considered the possibility that there wasn’t a real tip at all and that the SEC was just doing the justice department a favor to get to him.
On the other hand, Sonny knew Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) was capable of stabbing people in the back.
At the hospital, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) reassured Willow about her bone marrow transplant and joked about her fan club since Michael, Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver), Amelia Corinthos (Nathan and Owen Ford) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) all came to support her.
As they looked at each other through the window, Sasha spoke with Willow alone over the phone and reflected on her own time in isolation.
Willow compared this to being like a soldier in a foxhole, which made her think of stories when soldiers cried out for their mothers with their dying breath.
That left Willow wondering whether she’d cry out for Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) or Nina considering all the issues she had with both of them.
Sasha insisted Willow shouldn’t think about dying and felt she could be the soldier who lives to fight for every second instead.
After Josslyn and Carly arrived, they joined Michael in greeting Willow through the barrier.
Michael shared one last moment over the phone with Willow before it was time for her bone marrow transplant.
When Sonny showed up later, Michael looked over without sporting his usual scowl and seemed more receptive to the visit now that they’d called a truce.
As for Willow, she flashed back to some family moments and kept hope alive as her procedure began.
At the Metro Court, Robert filled Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in on Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) leaving town, so Anna pushed him to talk to Diane.
Robert wasn’t sure where Diane stood on her feelings for him, but Anna pushed him to ask Diane himself as she walked in.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned wished Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) would believe he didn’t turn Drew and Carly in for insider trading.
Drew popped up and said he’d love to believe that too, but he remained skeptical since Ned flat-out threatened to do it.
Ned defended the threat as an empty one since he didn’t follow through.
In a moment alone with Olivia, Ned vowed to prove he wasn’t a snitch and planted a passionate kiss on her.
Olivia warned Ned to promise that he wouldn’t do anything stupid and took off for the Metro Court.
Afterward, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) hinted to Ned about sticking around Port Charles.
After Tracy said she knew how to stay busy, Ned admitted that’s what he was afraid of.
Meanwhile, Drew quizzed Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about her relationship with Tracy, who could be very generous according to Brook Lynn.
Unfortunately, that generosity usually came with a price and these trips home tended to end in disaster. If Tracy was smiling, Brook Lynn suggested that meant somebody was paying.
Drew wondered if Brook Lynn was the one paying now and sought details, especially since BLQ’s surprise return to Deception was suspicious.
Tracy ultimately returned and asked to borrow her granddaughter, so Drew’s interrogation was shut down.
Back at the Metro Court, Olivia noticed the rock on Nina’s finger and told Nina about her recent argument with Carly.
Although Olivia would like to believe Ned wasn’t responsible for the SEC tip, she kept asking herself who would’ve done it besides him.
Nina mentioned something about the position poor Carly and Drew were in, so Olivia wanted the scoop.
That led to Nina suggesting she heard the government might use Drew and Carly’s legal problems to get to Sonny.
General Hospital spoilers say Nina will keep working angles as she tries to get Carly locked up, so stay tuned.
