General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, October 6, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) went around town asking for favors ahead of his elopement with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in Puerto Rico.
Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) happily agreed to attend the nuptials, but Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) seemed a little more hesitant over Sonny’s invitation.
However, Sonny pointed out that Nina wanted Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to be the ring-bearer and that it’d mean the world to her if Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) was there.
Since Sonny was making progress in his relationship with Michael, he admitted he’d like to have his son there as well.
Michael couldn’t accept the invitation until he talked to Willow, so he sought her out during a break from her shift at GH.
Willow got updates on Sonny and Nina’s decision to elope on the island, so she hoped this meant they didn’t have to attend the wedding.
Michael confessed that Sonny asked if they’d come, but Willow pointed out they could’ve blended in at a bigger ceremony.
Since this one was going to be so small, Michael and Willow felt they’d be front and center.
Willow’s relationship with Nina was still so new – and Michael’s reconciliation with Sonny was also still fresh. Michael asked whether Willow wanted to put all that to the test and attend the nuptials.
Back with Kristina at the pub, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) informed her that he couldn’t get away from work for the wedding.
Kristina felt like Dante should be there to support Sonny on his big day, but Dante pointed out that Sonny would have other family there.
Although Michael’s involvement wasn’t a done deal yet, Kristina hinted about not looking forward to the tension between Michael and Nina in Puerto Rico.
When Blaze aka Alison Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) showed up, Kristina introduced Dante as her brother.
Blaze admitted she already knew Dante since he came to her rescue with Linc Brown (Dan Buran).
Dante also mentioned that Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) was a fan, so Blaze had been kind when they ran into her. Kristina suggested that it seemed like Dante and Blaze were already BFFs.
At The Invader, Sonny pushed Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to help out with the Judge Albert Kim (Kurt Yue) situation since Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) needed a path to avoid Pentonville.
After Sonny’s visit, Alexis filled Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) in and went digging for Judge Kim’s opinions online.
It was obvious that Judge Kim was trying to impress the judicial board and get a promotion, so Alexis suggested they could lure him into an interview with the promise of publicity.
Then, they could ask about Drew’s sentence and work the angle they wanted.
At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) place, Sonny stopped by to tell her about his imminent elopement with Nina.
Since Sonny really wanted Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) to attend, Carly quickly gave her approval.
Sonny hadn’t been able to get in touch with Ava Jerome (Maura West) yet, but he was hopeful about Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) being at the wedding.
Talk turned to the favor Sonny basically demanded of Alexis, so he felt confident that she’d come through.
That way, Drew could get his sentence reduced or get transferred out of Pentonville.
A lot had happened in the last couple years, so Carly admitted she wanted Sonny to be happy. Sonny wanted the same for Carly, so they shared a warm moment before he exited.
At the Metro Court, Sonny let Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) know that he’d be out of town for his elopement for a few days, but he was only a phone call away.
Anna later met with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and talked to him about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) keeping secrets, but she seemingly believed the new house was a separate, innocent thing.
Since Anna was convinced all the tormenting was connected to the WSB, she pushed Robert to get info from inside the bureau to find out who was behind this.
Robert’s influence was limited, but Anna suggested that was better than nothing.
At Valentin’s new place, he opened up to Nina about his concerns regarding Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and whether he’d done something to make her act out.
Valentin knew he needed to find a therapist and get Charlotte some real help, but Nina agreed with him about not involving the cops. That said, Valentin wondered whether he was doing the right thing by not telling Anna.
Valentin feared the Cassadine curse was to blame for Charlotte’s issues, but Nina didn’t believe that and offered reassurance.
Although Valentin didn’t know what he’d do without Nina, she admitted he’d be on his own for a while since she was leaving town for her elopement with Sonny.
Valentin suggested he’d be fine and mentioned that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was coming home to help him figure out a Charlotte solution.
When Charlotte walked in, she asked if Valentin was keeping things from her since she didn’t know Nina was coming over.
Charlotte was thrilled to see Nina and heard about her Puerto Rico trip, so she wished they could take a trip with Valentin to Europe like they always talked about.
Nina didn’t think Anna would like that much, so she suggested a girls’ trip without Valentin instead and got Charlotte on board.
Charlotte expressed her love for Nina as they embraced, so Nina kissed her on the forehead and headed toward the door.
As Valentin hugged Nina, Charlotte watched nearby and seemed to like the idea of them bonding again.
Once Nina was outside, she looked at a pic on her phone of Charlotte when she was younger.
Nina wondered what happened to that sweet girl and seemed emotional when she took Sonny’s phone call.
However, Sonny had good news since he’d taken care of all his errands and was all Nina’s now.
That was all Nina ever wanted, so she looked forward to tying the knot with Sonny.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Nina will catch their flight soon, so stay tuned to see all the surprises he has in store for his bride.
