General Hospital Recap: Thursday, March 23 – Sasha Shuts Down Heather’s Insanity Defense – Sonny Prison Plot Stuns Josslyn

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 23, reveals that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) was at the PCPD paying a fine after parking in front of a broken meter. Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) arrived and lied to the cops about being Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) lawyer, so Cody worried about her plan.

Once Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived home following their red eye flight, Cody showed up and explained that Sasha was in trouble.

Dante agreed to run interference without exposing Sasha’s lawyer lie and took off.

That gave Sam a chance to chat with Cody over coffee and admit she might’ve misjudged him.

Cody reflected on the problems his greed had brought him, but Sam offered advice about making things right.

After Cody stepped out in the hall, he pulled up Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) contact info on his phone and seemed to contemplate calling him.

Back at the PCPD, Sasha insisted on speaking to her “client” alone.

Heather didn’t remember hiring Sasha, but she acted like it was entirely possible since she’d forgotten since she often forgot days at a time.

In fact, Heather claimed to have only the vaguest memory of Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) dragging her away from Spring Ridge.

Heather added that she’d forget hours after she talked to Ryan and sometimes thought he was trying to hypnotize her.

Sasha saw right through Heather’s attempt at a fake insanity defense and called her out on it in front of Dante.

Once Sasha revealed Heather had murdered her husband, she vowed to make a compelling case to the jury about Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) death and the kind of man he was.

Sasha was adamant about making Heather pay for every victim and ranted about her exploiting all the loopholes when her reign of terror should’ve ended years ago.

After Dante said he’d look forward to Sasha’s testimony, he showed her a discreet way out.

Heather was glad to be alone with Dante and looked rather somber as she admitted she was ready to confess.

In bed at Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) apartment, he assured Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that his feelings were more than casual.

Josslyn admitted she’d never felt this way before and didn’t want it to stop.

Later, Josslyn overheard Dex talking about the Pikeman shipment details and confronted him about the possibility of getting federal time.

Dex confessed that Sonny was the one who’d get federal time and revealed he’d been hired to take him down.

Although Dex refused to divulge who his employer was just yet, he admitted that Sonny was going away forever.

Dex asked if that’s what Josslyn wanted since hating Sonny and seeing him behind bars for the rest of his life were two different things.

If Josslyn wanted Dex to tell his employer he was out before the Pikeman shipment, Dex was willing to do that.

With that in mind, Dex said it was up to Josslyn and asked what she wanted him to do.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) lied to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) about needing more time to rest before she could play with him.

Although Willow knew Wiley needed some version of the truth, she wasn’t sure how to tell him that she was leaving him forever.

Willow felt guilty for choosing the new baby over Wiley, but Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) felt that Willow had done the best she could for both children.

After Willow said she didn’t want to leave Michael and the kids, Carly pulled her into a warm embrace.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) told Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that he was still fighting with Michael and hadn’t seen Amelia Corinthos (Nathan and Owen Ford) in person yet.

However, Sonny felt that he had years to fix things with Michael and wanted Brook Lynn’s help for Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) sake since she might only have weeks with Willow.

After Sonny pushed Brook Lynn to tell his son they needed to talk, Michael appeared and assumed this was about Nina.

Sonny felt like Michael’s grudge with him was getting in the way of Nina and Willow’s reconciliation, but Michael said Willow should be able to spend her last days how she wanted.

Since Michael refused to have compassion for Nina, Sonny said he was done and warned that what happened next would be on Michael.

At GH, Nina overheard Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) talking about finishing up Willow’s paperwork now that she was gone.

That news alarmed Nina, but Drew said he meant that Willow went home.

Nina was upset over Willow giving up, but Drew argued that going home was a choice that Willow made with Michael.

Since Willow was terminal, there was nothing else that could be done without a bone marrow donor match.

Nina felt it was Carly’s fault that her relationship with Willow was still fractured.

If Carly had told the truth about their mother-daughter link from the get-go, Nina insisted she’d have a bond with Willow by now.

Drew argued that Nina only had herself to blame for alienating Willow. Plus, Drew felt that Carly had only owed Willow the truth – not Nina.

After Nina ranted about Drew being just as self-righteous as Carly, she warned that he’d be just as deserving when payback came.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina could indeed go after revenge down the road, so stay tuned for updates on the insider trading backlash.
