General Hospital Recap: Thursday, May 4 – Holly Stops Victor’s Escape – Sonny & Nina’s Island Getaway Canceled

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 4, reveals that TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) admitted to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) that Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) blood wasn’t clotting properly, so he wanted to keep her there at GH.

Although Willow previously wanted to wait on her transplant at home, TJ pointed out that it was better for her to stay at the hospital if the goal was to give her more time.

Hospice care would be more comfortable for Willow, but it became obvious to Michael that Willow’s only chance of survival was staying at the hospital to fight.

Once Willow regained consciousness, Michael explained the situation and got her to agree she’d indeed stay there and fight with everything in her to live.

At Kelly’s, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) met up with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and said he’d been digging into who tipped off the SEC, but he’d come up empty so far.

Sonny ranted about Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and said he’d better brace himself if he had anything to do with turning in Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Nina distracted Sonny by suggesting that she changed her mind and wanted to go on that island getaway, so Sonny said he’d call and make the arrangements.

In her dorm room, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) remained worried about whether Drew would make it home with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) in time to save Willow.

Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) pushed Josslyn to keep hope alive before talk turned to whether he had second thoughts about the evidence against Sonny.

After Dex pointed out that he had to see the job through to the end, he acknowledged that taking this job led him to Josslyn.

Dex added that two things could be true at the same time and explained how he was grateful to Sonny for saving his life, but Sonny had still committed crimes.

Regardless, Dex had done his part, so it was in Michael’s hands now.

Once Carly called Josslyn with updates on Willow’s hospitalization, Josslyn vowed to come right over and filled Dex in on the news of Willow’s setback.

Dex got a call about chartering a private plane to paradise for Sonny, but he informed him there’d been a development when he arrived at Kelly’s.

That led to Dex telling Nina and Sonny about Willow’s collapse, so they bailed on the island getaway and headed for GH.

After he was alone, Dex called Josslyn to give her a heads-up on Sonny and Nina’s arrival, but he didn’t give her much of one since they walked in moments later.

Meanwhile, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) showed up with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and worked her legal magic so that the WSB agent arresting Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) would uncuff him.

Since the new WSB director was determined to carry out a drone strike and wipe out the island, Robert insisted he had to be talked out of it.

On The Haunted Star, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) pushed Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to get on the seaplane with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

Trina hugged Curtis and didn’t want to lose him, especially without knowing the truth about whether they were father and daughter.

While Trina looked for the satellite phone behind the bar to contact Jordan, Curtis warned Spencer to leave on the seaplane with Trina and the baby.

Even if Trina begged to wait for Curtis and the rest of the rescue team, Curtis made it clear that Spencer had to get Trina off the island now.

Once Trina returned, she urged Curtis to be careful and seemed like she was trying to convey that she loved him.

Curtis understood without the actual words and assured Trina that he felt the same way.

While Trina was grabbing another baby blanket elsewhere, the nanny that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) hired for Ace appeared and used a walkie talkie to call for backup.

Fortunately, Trina returned and bashed the nanny in the head to knock her out.

Spencer and Trina could hear a commotion coming from the lab area downstairs just before Trina used the satellite phone to call Jordan.

That gave Jordan a chance to warn about the drone strike, so Spencer and Jordan learned they had to get off the island now if they wanted to avoid getting bombed.

Down in the bunker, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) decided it’d be worth sacrificing the lives in that room to kill Victor and save humanity.

Once Laura smashed the pathogen vial, Victor pointed out that it had to be activated by UV light or it was harmless.

Victor nearly had Drew executed, but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) burst in with her gun and gained the upper hand briefly.

It wasn’t long until the guards went after Anna, so she got into a physical confrontation with them.

Although Laura tried to grab the container of pathogen vials, Victor pointed his own gun to stop her and wound up firing a shot.

Thankfully, the bullet just grazed Laura, so she assured Curtis that she was OK after Victor took Liesl outside the bunker.

Anna learned Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had been used as a human test subject for the pathogen, so she was horrified and raced to the isolation room.

Valentin was in bad shape as he continued hallucinating Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers), who kept trying to convince him to just give up and die.

When Valentin eventually saw Anna through the window, he smiled at her despite the terrible condition he was in.

Although Curtis was eager to get Laura out of the bunker, she saw a computer with a green screen and a distorted message.

Laura said they couldn’t leave yet and pointed out this computer was just like the one Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) used on his machine over 40 years ago.

After Victor made it out of the bunker with Liesl and the pathogen container, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) stopped him in his tracks by showing up and pointing her gun.

General Hospital spoilers say Holly will fight back against Victor in a big way, so stay tuned.
