General Hospital Recap: Wednesday, March 22 – Esme & Ace Move In With Laura & Spencer – Epiphany’s Missing Letter

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 22, reveals that Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) came to GH hoping to get an earlier doctor’s appointment since he’d been experiencing new symptoms and others were worsening.

When Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) found his dad, he assumed Gregory had come to support Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) as she awaited the ethics committee’s decision.

Once Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) spoke on behalf of Elizabeth, she suggested the committee seemed open to what she had to say.

Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Portia reminded Liz of all the people she had backing her up, but Liz worried since Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) hadn’t sent a letter like she requested.

Epiphany had been Elizabeth’s mentor in many ways, so Liz worried it’d be a red flag if the ethics committee didn’t hear from her.

However, Portia pointed out that Epiphany was off on her campus visit to Johns Hopkins, so there was a possibility she didn’t receive the request yet.

Liz gushed about how proud she was of Epiphany and felt she would make a great doctor.

At The Invader, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) talked to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) about her suspicions regarding Gregory’s drinking problem.

After Alexis decided to call Finn, the doc got the call right in front of Gregory – though he didn’t pick up.

Gregory later wound up in Alexis’ office to confront her about reaching out to his son when he warned her to leave Finn and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) out of this.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Chase gushed over Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) good qualities.

Although Chase knew it’d take a long time to trust Brook Lynn again, he was willing to try if she wanted the same thing.

Brook Lynn admitted she wanted Chase back, but she also felt he should know the truth.

That led to Brook Lynn confessing how she lied about giving Linc Brown (Dan Buran) new jingles in exchange for her catalogue of songs.

Brook Lynn revealed that she actually signed a nondisclosure agreement that prevented her from speaking out against Linc’s harassment or backing up any other accusers.

Chase ultimately flew into a rage and felt he didn’t know Brook Lynn at all.

Outside Kelly’s, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was going in as Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was coming out.

After acknowledging the fact that they didn’t know what to say to each other, Curtis joined Trina on a bench.

Trina and Curtis talked about how they’d wanted to be part of the same family before all the paternity drama went down.

Curtis didn’t think what happened should come between Trina and her mom, so she hugged him over the advice as Portia appeared.

Although Portia hoped Trina would be willing to talk to her as well, Trina insisted she had to see Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and rushed off.

Portia tried talking to Curtis instead and wanted to get their marriage back on track, but she worried that he didn’t have any hope.

Curtis argued that the trust was broken – and he didn’t think their love could fix that.

Portia begged Curtis to just give them a chance to remember what they meant to each other, but Curtis just walked away.

At Charlie’s Pub, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) found Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and admitted she’d been looking for her.

That left Nina worried that something happened to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but she covered when Jordan revealed that wasn’t the case.

Jordan actually wanted to talk to Nina about Curtis, so Nina said he was still processing everything that had gone down.

Once Nina quizzed Jordan about her lingering feelings for her ex, Jordan insisted she was moving on from Curtis – though there wasn’t another man in her life.

That said, Jordan confessed that she still loved Curtis and always would.

Nina said if Jordan was worried about Curtis, she should talk to him and felt certain that he’d appreciate it.

Once Nina left, Curtis found himself at the bar. Jordan seemingly came out of the restroom and locked eyes with Curtis across the room.

After Elizabeth spoke to the ethics committee, she worried to Finn about the possibility of getting fired, but she was less haunted by the situation with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) now.

Terry also went before the ethics committee to plead Liz’s case and then the decision as in the committee’s hands.

At Spring Ridge, Spencer thanked Laura Collins (Genie Francis) for letting him stay at her place since it was getting crowded over at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse.

When Esme appeared, she was on edge over Spencer’s presence, but Laura insisted they had wonderful news.

Esme learned that although the charges could be refiled later, they were being dropped for now – and that meant she could raise Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) outside of prison.

Once Esme insisted she wanted to stay put, Spencer argued that it wasn’t a hotel.

Even so, Esme was concerned since she had no money, support or anywhere to go.

Laura and Spencer pitched the idea of Esme living in the room above Kelly’s. Spencer was even willing to cover Esme’s rent while she looked for work.

When Esme asked if there was enough space for Ace too, Spencer admitted there wasn’t.

Esme realized Spencer and Laura wanted to take Ace home with them instead, so she lashed out and refused to be separated from her baby.

Spencer ranted about amnesiac Esme not being much different from the old one.

After Esme asked what that was supposed to mean, Spencer pointed out she still put her own desires and self-interests above everyone else – including her own son.

Laura tried to settle everyone down and felt they should’ve included Esme in the planning portion of all this.

After Laura asked how they could best support Esme and Ace, Esme warned that they weren’t going to like it at all.

Later, Trina showed up at Laura and Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) place to see if Spencer got the baby settled in OK.

Spencer confessed that things didn’t go exactly the way he hoped.

Suddenly, Esme brought Ace out in her arms and gushed about how much they loved their new room, so Trina looked uneasy.

General Hospital spoilers say Esme’s new living arrangements could lead to more issues, so stay tuned for updates on the road ahead.
