General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may face consequences for her actions after all. The story of Carly hiding Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) biological mother has to be one of the most frustrating in GH history.
After months and months of buildup, nothing really even happened! Willow immediately forgave Carly, so that was a non-issue.
Even Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) anger has already dissipated, so that’s not a big deal either.
We at least hoped for more conflict between Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), but he’s more into her than ever.
Never mind the fact that Carly lied to Drew’s face about the DNA results and paid Denise McKenzie (Alex Rietveld) multiple times to throw him off the birth parent trail!
Drew took Carly to bed instead of dumping her, so it’s almost like she got rewarded. Even if you’re on Carly’s side, this just isn’t good drama.
The fallout following an exposed secret is supposed to be messy and dramatic, but Carly is just skating by.
That’s part of why Nina is so riled up and determined to get revenge.
Now that Nina has witnessed Carly and Drew’s embrace at the hospital, she’s going to think back on other close moments and know they’re romantically involved.
Nina may also discover Drew and Carly are concealing that fact due to the threat of prison.
Carly and Drew could get locked up for insider trading if someone reports them to the SEC.
There are a few ways this story could go once Nina gains this dangerous leverage.
One is that Nina will make that SEC call and indeed get Carly arrested along with Drew. Michael was part of all that and could go down as well.
However, it’s also possible Nina will simply use the threat of arrest as blackmail material. Nina might hold it over Carly’s head and start making demands.
Perhaps Nina will push Carly to use her influence to convince Willow and Michael to let her see the grandkids.
Nina might also force Carly to break up with Drew and try to rob her of her newfound bliss.
Nevertheless, there’s no denying that Nina’s furious and would love nothing more than to watch Carly get hauled off in handcuffs.
Nina may not be able to resist once she has the power to make that happen.
