General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, January 25 Recap – Anna’s Explosion Escape Trick – Josslyn Addicted to Dex Danger

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 25, reveals that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) hinted to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) about Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) stabbing Cameron Webber (William Lipton) in the back. Trina got updates on the breakup from Cam, who said Josslyn claimed they grew apart.

Spencer pointed out that he thought there was more going on – and judging from Cameron’s expression, he suspected Cam thought he was right.

However, Cam got agitated over all the questions and pointed out Trina could stop her charade with Spencer now since there was enough BS going around.

After Cameron stomped off, Trina offered to go to Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) memorial with Spencer, who thanked her.

Since “The Hook” was still out there, Spencer and Trina agreed they should keep pretending to be a couple – though it seemed like they really just wanted to stay close.

Talk turned to Spencer cutting Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) out of his life, but Trina thought Spencer would want to know his new sibling.

Spencer felt it was best if Nikolas didn’t raise this child, but Trina assumed he was the only option with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) in prison. After Spencer said not necessarily, he suggested he could raise his brother or sister instead.

Meanwhile, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up at Josslyn’s dorm room after being summoned, so Joss cried over Cam finding her with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and what a disaster it was.

Josslyn also admitted she asked Cam to keep her involvement with Dex a secret since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could kill him.

Carly reflected on being about Josslyn’s age when she met Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who didn’t mind risking his life. After Carly said she liked that Jason was dangerous yet could make her feel safe, Josslyn confessed she felt that way about Dex, too.

Carly warned Joss that she was going down a difficult road and urged her to be sure this is really what she wanted.

Nevertheless, Josslyn felt that whatever was happening had already started – and she didn’t want it to stop.

Although Carly knew Josslyn would have to lie for Dex, she made her daughter promise to always tell her the truth. That way, Carly could have Josslyn’s back.

Carly talked about missing Jason before the conversation shifted to Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) anger over the Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) bio mom lie.

Although Carly was trying to hold onto hope, she understood how Drew felt.

Josslyn pointed out that they both got burned by keeping secrets and admitted the truth was less painful than defending a lie.

Carly wondered when Josslyn got so wise and gave her a hug.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse on Wednesday’s GH episode, Drew was babysitting Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) when Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) arrived and invited the kid for a sleepover at the main house.

While Wiley was upstairs getting his pajamas and a couple toys, Olivia talked to Drew about Nina being Willow’s birth mom and learned Carly hid the truth.

Drew revealed that Carly actively sabotaged his hunt for Willow’s biological parents and didn’t think he could be involved with her after all the deception.

Olivia defended Carly as someone who was fiercely protective of her family, but she knew only Drew could decide what was or wasn’t OK in a relationship.

After Olivia left, Drew answered the door to find Carly.

At the Metro Court, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain) spotted Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) looking glum at the bar.

Charlotte urged Martin to join them for dinner since seemed like he could use a friend, but Martin didn’t want to intrude on girls’ night.

When Charlotte went to wash her hands, she walked by Victor on a shady phone call.

Victor called out to Charlotte and wondered how she was doing, so Charlotte said she’d be a lot better if she knew where her father was.

After Charlotte ranted about Victor keeping her away from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) at boarding school, she feared he’d done something to keep them apart now, too.

Victor assured Charlotte that Valentin made his own choices, but he added that he fully intended to bring the family together again soon.

Back with Martin, he reminded Laura that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) wanted to work together to take down Victor.

Laura hoped Martin wasn’t seriously considering that offer and said Valentin as well as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) would bring Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) home.

Martin explained how Nikolas put him on Esme’s case and admitted he’d use any info that landed in his lap to his advantage.

Laura warned that if Martin tried to outmaneuver Victor, he was only going to end up in trouble.

After Laura dragged Charlotte away from Victor, she reassured her granddaughter about Valentin.

Laura saw no need for alarm since they just heard from Valentin on Christmas, but Charlotte worried Victor might’ve caused her papa to disappear.

To calm Charlotte’s fears, Laura insisted Valentin would move heaven and earth to get back to her.

In Paris, Valentin and Anna yanked the grate off so they could get to Lucy, so they got busy trying to free her.

Rene (Maria Tornberg) pulled a gun and warned them to step back before some of Victor’s guards rushed in.

Anna and Valentin were forced to get down on their knees with their hands behind their heads.

Rene admitted to selling Valentin and Anna out since she needed the money, so Lucy worried they would all be killed.

Once a guard called Victor and put him on speaker, he pointed out this reunion would be short-lived.

Valentin thought it was cowardly for Victor to have his goons kill him half a world away, but Victor insisted he couldn’t make Charlotte an orphan.

Besides, Victor still had hope for his relationship with Valentin – though it probably never stood a chance with Anna’s influence.

After Victor ordered Lucy and Valentin to be taken elsewhere, he told his guards to get rid of Anna.

Valentin flipped out and vowed to kill Victor himself, but Anna pressed a button on her watch and triggered an explosion on a water main.

It turns out Anna had a backup plan all along, so she attacked Rene as chaos erupted.

The explosive device flooded their section of catacombs and killed Rene along with the guards, but Valentin, Anna and Lucy were able to swim out with breathing apparatuses.

Lucy wanted to call Martin with the news of her safety, but Valentin and Anna refused to let her. Since they were dead to the world, they needed to stay that way.
