General Hospital Spoilers: Will Willow Ever Open Her Arms to Nina as Mother? Here's Why Not

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has another thing coming if she really thinks finding out she is Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) biological mother is going to change a thing between them right now.

Their history is fraught with competition, disrespect, and hatred for one another.

Willow isn’t just going to forget that because Mommy Dearest has shown up with her heart on her sleeve for once.

Willow won’t easily forget how much she doesn’t trust Nina, and how much Nina has done over the years to convince her she never could.

General Hospital Spoilers — Their Foundation Was Already Crumbling

Way back when Willow first came to Port Charles, Nina knew nothing of her except that she was Charlotte Cassadine’s (Amelie McLain) teacher whom Nina never agreed with.

Nina felt Willow didn’t treat Charlotte with exceptional respect, while Willow preferred to treat all students equally.

When Willow referenced behavioral problems with Charlotte and suggested there may be an issue at home, Nina lost it — as she did on more than one occasion.

It’s safe to say Willow and Nina didn’t have a great first impression of one another, and their relationship has only evolved in one direction since then.

GH Spoilers Tease Nina Encroaching on Wiley Made Things Worse

When Nina learned that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) was her biological daughter, it was too late for her to forge a mother-daughter relationship with her.

Nelle was dead and there was no bringing her back.

However, Nelle would live on in her son, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), whom she shared with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Michael had since coupled up with Willow, which unnerved Nina but she went into things expecting mutual respect and then threw herself under the bus by mentioning Nelle being Wiley’s mother the very first visit she got to spend with Wiley.

The rest is history, as they say.

A judge ended up ruling Nina had no compelling legal argument to force grandparent visits with Wiley against his parents’ wishes.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Was the Nail in the Coffin

As though that wasn’t bad enough, Nina came back from Nixon Falls amidst the visitation battle, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) did, too.

Learning she hid his identity from him and let his whole family think he was dead just so she could keep him to herself and stick it to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was enough for Michael and Willow to excommunicate Nina from their lives.

Now it turns out she is not just Wiley’s grandmother, but Willow’s unborn child’s grandmother, too.

Nina will plead for Willow to change her mind. It’s not going to be that easy for Willow or Michael.
