NCIS Medical Examiner as well as an all-around great guy ran into some problems with his dog. Doc Roy ‘Rosie’ Penrose took his dog Buster to a dog café and his dog got in trouble with another dog owner there. Buster apparently tried to mount another dog. The owner of said dog tried to blame Buster for being too randy.

Doc Roy ended up telling her that she shouldn’t have bought a dog in heat to a dog café of all places. But this woman wasn’t the only weird person to come to the café that day. The good doctor also noticed a young woman that was bleeding on her arm. He approached her to see if he could help. And that’s when she revealed she’s strapped to a bomb.

This young woman was more girl than woman. She didn’t reveal her name. She didn’t make demands. It was just clear she was on the run from something because she revealed she had a bomb vest not long after hearing sirens closing in. This girl then locked the doors to the dog café. She took everyone hostage.

She was more focused on what was going on outside than inside and that didn’t change until the doctor called his NCIS friends. He tried to secretly send them clues about the situation. The girl figured him out.

She realized he was on the phone. She then claimed his phone on top of everyone else’s. She also had everyone sit on the floor. NCIS called Australian Federal Police and that dog café was soon surrounded.

They identify the girl as Louie. They made contact with her. The police left a phone outside of the dog café and she reached out to get it. Once she had that phone, that’s when the outrageous demands were made. Louie demanded a helicopter to help her escape. She also wanted to speak to the Health Minister of Sydney.

The last one was a pretty odd request. Not that Louie wanted to explain herself. The police meanwhile learned that the girl was fifteen and that the Health Minister might involve her sister.

Louie has a little sister named Casey. Casey has end stage leukemia. There was no saving her and yet Louie refuses to see that. Louie wanted to run away with the money with her family. She was fooling herself to a few things. She thought her bomb was fake until the bomb dog revealed it was real. She thought they would give her a helicopter to escape and in actuality she wasn’t going anywhere.

Louie was involved in a bank heist. The original plan was supposed to include her mother and her mother’s drug dealer. Only mom wanted to pull out. Something they couldn’t afford because the money was supposed to buy an experimental drug from America. The family believes this was their last chance to save Casey.

Louie stepped in for her mother and she was involved in the heist. She didn’t know that Stone the drug dealer was planning on killing her mother to take the full cut of the money they stole. Stone even killed a cop during their getaway.

They also didn’t know he lied about the bomb. Louie didn’t realize until she was talking to Doc Roy. Doc Roy put everything together. He told her that her survival or to better put it her mother’s survival was never on the cards. Stone was going to kill her the second he got the money.

Unfortunately, Stone realized she didn’t have the money with her at the dog café. He had been in contact with her the whole time and had at one point demanded to see the money over facetime. And so he wizened up to the fact she was lying when she refused to show it.

It didn’t end there though. Stone went on to kidnap Casey. He beat up their mother and he was threatening to kill the little girl if Louie didn’t tell him where she stashed the money.

Louie felt she had to give it to him. She didn’t care if he detonated the bomb or killed her. NCIS later caught up to Stone. They blocked his cell phone signal to stop him from detonating the bomb. They were forced to shoot him when he tried to shoot his way out. They neutralized him. They rescued Casey. They also got Louie to release the hostages.

Louie allowed the police to enter the café. She foolishly tried to take off the vest herself. They put the bomb on a timer. The bomb squad rushed in to defuse the bomb on her. Doc Roy stayed with her the whole time. They apparently bonded when she learned that he has a wife with dementia. His wife called him all confused and Louie allowed him to talk to her.

He was able to calm his wife. He also stayed in contact with the police because Blue hacked the cell phones in the café. She got a live feed of Louie. She recorded the feed when Louie confessed to everything as the bomb was being defused.

Louie also mentioned that they wrote a letter to the Health Minister months ago for help. They just wanted to give Casey a fighting chance and they kept getting rejection letters because their free healthcare didn’t cover experimental medication. The Health Minister’s power of discretion could have given them the medication for free if he had just read the letters.

Blue may have uploaded the live feed of the confessional. The family set up a GoFundMe. People all around the world began donating to it after hearing the story and so Casey will be getting the drugs. Even as her sister will spend the rest of her youth in juvenile detention centers.

None of the others had known about Doc Roy’s wife. Then again this team was still new. They were still learning things about each other. JD was married, but he was getting a divorce. He has a son that was not much younger than Louie. Its why he advocated that they never use deadly force on Louie. He was going to get written up for it with Australian Federal Police and somehow he didn’t care because his way had at least ensured that no one had to die.

THE END!
