The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 27, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) insisted Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) must’ve misunderstood what he saw since there was no way John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) would let his guard down with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).
Liam maintained that Finn and Sheila were physically embracing each other before showing Steffy the video as proof.
Steffy reeled and admitted the sight of that made her nauseous, but she still had to believe there was some explanation.
Liam acknowledged that no one wanted to believe Finn had some emotional attachment to Sheila, but he didn’t push her away or scream.
The hug was right there on video, so Liam felt that Steffy couldn’t bury her head in the sand.
Steffy insisted she wasn’t doing that, so Liam urged her to confront Finn and force him to explain.
Whether Finn knew it or not, Liam argued that hug sent a message to Sheila.
It said that Finn was vulnerable to his birth mother, so Liam thought Sheila would use the situation to get closer to his family.
Liam loved Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) too much to let that happen.
After Liam said he knew they weren’t together, he told Steffy that he loved her, too.
At the hospital, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) flipped out over Sheila’s charges being dropped since this put Finn, Steffy and the children in danger.
After Li said Sheila should be spending the rest of her life behind bars, she pushed Finn to agree.
Finn flashed back to hugging Sheila and eventually told Li not to worry since he’d do whatever it took to keep his family safe.
At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) place, he assumed Sheila had escaped until she explained that the judge dropped all charges.
Sheila shared a celebratory glass of wine with Deacon and gave him another passionate kiss.
Deacon was glad that Sheila was free, so she admitted she was hoping Finn would be happy for her, too.
Although Deacon warned against setting herself up for disappointment, Sheila urged him to never underestimate the bond between a mother and her son.
Deacon still thought it’d take a miracle for Finn to let Sheila back in his life, but Sheila vowed not to give up.
At Forrester Creations on Thursday’s B&B episode, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) got updates on Liam moving out before Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) told him about the signed divorce papers.
Ridge learned that Hope was the one who had those papers drawn up and asked if this had something to do with her sleeping with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Hope wasn’t happy about Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) spilling that news, but Brooke argued that she couldn’t keep secrets from Ridge.
After Ridge pointed out how hard Thomas had worked to not be obsessed, he asked how Hope truly felt about his son.
Hope admitted that of course she had feelings for Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) father and her amazing design partner.
However, Hope kept things vague beyond that and suggested she was just getting started on a new path of connection.
After Hope said she understood why Ridge would be curious and concerned, Ridge replied that he was concerned about all his kids.
Hope asked if that went for Steffy too, so Brooke explained that Hope believed Liam was still in love with Steffy.
Once Hope said she didn’t want to spend the rest of her life with a man who had divided feelings, she mentioned that Thomas’ feelings for her had always been clear.
Hope didn’t have answers about the future, but she wanted to concentrate on her fashion line and raising her children without anything dragging her down.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope and Thomas still have some things to figure out when it comes to their tricky romance, so stay tuned.
