The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that there has to be more to the story of why Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has suddenly gone off the rails. We get that Bill’s been lonely, but that’s not a good enough reason for him to surrender to dangerous Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and throw everything away for a life with her.
It’s important to take a closer look at Bill’s behavior and how it’s shifted since his Sheila alliance was revealed.
Bill clearly isn’t acting like himself, so let’s talk about the changes and how Sheila has influenced him.
Many B&B fans have noticed that Bill seems slow to speak and act following the news of his romance with Sheila.
Bill’s content to stand there and let Sheila do most of the talking in conversations, so what’s made him so docile?
It’s like Bill has become completely submissive to Sheila – her compliant little soldier of love.
Even when Bill does speak up, it’s only to echo what Sheila’s told him to believe about their relationship.
Bill seemingly can’t think for himself anymore, so what’s going on?
The logical explanation here is that Sheila has somehow hypnotized Bill into doing her bidding and falling in love with her.
Sheila talked about the night she connected with Bill on the beach, so that’s likely when this mind control mission started.
Perhaps Sheila used hypnosis to pry the blackmail info out of Bill and convince him to use it to her advantage.
Of course, Sheila could see that Bill was an emotional wreck – not to mention he’d been drinking.
Bill was the perfect mind control subject since he was in such a vulnerable place already.
All Sheila had to do was target Bill and brainwash him into believing they could save each other.
Now Sheila seems to be using a post-hypnotic suggestion tactic to make sure Bill says and does exactly what she wants.
Notice how Sheila prepared Bill for the mob of angry people with their torches and pitchforks?
Sheila was able to get Bill ready for the battles to come so that he’d stand firmly in her corner.
One minute Sheila’s gushing about her total devotion and the next Bill’s parroting back how Sheila’s completely devoted to him as he defends their connection to others.
Sheila is subtly guiding Bill and helping him plan his reactions.
Bill’s being told how to feel and what to do in advance without even realizing that Sheila’s running the show.
After Bill follows instructions, he often flashes back later and looks almost disoriented – like he’s become a passenger in his own life.
That’s because Sheila is in the driver’s seat and apparently manipulating Bill’s every move.
It all adds up to mind control, so do you agree that Bill’s been hypnotized?
When the other characters talk about Bill falling under Sheila’s spell, that may be a hint about a big brainwashing reveal!
