Tonight’s episode begins with Simone who plays chess with her dad. He shares that the crooked cop who put him away prior is in hospice. Simone doesn’t feel bad. He was a bad person. Simone is called in. The task force holds a meeting about Elijah, a career criminal, who is now in jail. His crew is hiding out in Guatemala. Running the crew is a high profile female criminal. They plan to finish off his crew.
Simone and some of the team leave to get close to the compound while Laura and Brendan try to get more info from Elijah. He isn’t cracking but warns them. Minutes later, Simone and the team get into the compound. Thee find no-one but the crew has left behind a priest they hung. They are all disgusted.
Laura and her boyfriend are arguing with Brendan in the car. It seems Laura doesn’t want to put a label on her relationship. Meanwhile, Matt and Simone question the priest’s sister. After putting everything together, they have a better idea of their female criminal Abril. She is out for revenge against a soldier.
They are right about the revenge part as Abril is seen at a home in the backyard. She has killed several people. The team learns of the killings. Abril is doing both – taking down Elijah’s drug operation and looking for the soldier she wants revenge against.
Laura’s boyfriend demands they talk. He wants a commitment. She doesn’t really want to talk. He tells her he is leaving.
Elena is out with her girlfriend. A woman bumps into her and takes her phone, downloading a listening app on it. Elena has no idea. Simone and her dad talk about the cop who put him away. Simone still isn’t feeling open to forgiving him. Meanwhile, Brendan tries to get Laura to open up about her issues but she isn’t interested.
Just when the team thinks they are a step ahead of Abril they learn she is spying on them. Elena learns she is the leak. She takes Matt to where she was. He consoles her but teaches her what to look for. Carter learns an associate named Owen has gone rogue so he can go after Abril. Carter meets with another associate who gives him some intel. They haven’t seen eye to eye in a longtime but do it for their mutual friend.
The team gets a lead on Abril and heads to her location. There is a shoot out in the end. Abril just wouldn’t let her revenge go. They were forced to shoot her. After they return to the office, Matt tells Elena that mistakes can be made and that she needs to let what happened go. Carter makes peace with his old associate after all of the years they didn’t talk. Laura finally talks to her boyfriend. She admits she care for him. She finally leets her guard down.
