The Young and the Restless Recap: Monday, May 29 – Lily Calls Phyllis Selfish Coward – Christine Rages Over DNA Match

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, May 29, teases that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will come clean to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) being alive, so she’ll hear the whole ugly story offscreen.

That’ll leave Lily fuming over Phyllis letting her kids grieve and only wanting to come back if she can walk free.

Lily will insist Phyllis is a selfish coward who’s taking the easy way out – though she’ll ultimately apologize since she’ll know Daniel’s still glad she’s alive.

In the end, Lily will urge Daniel to let Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) worry about the legal stuff and focus on repairing his family with Phyllis and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier).

At the Abbott house, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will catch Summer sneaking out with some bags of supplies, but Summer will lie about them being a charity donation.

In Phyllis’ suite at the GCAC, she’ll get on a laptop and try to find a trail that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) might’ve left – anything that could prove she was right to defend herself.

When Summer arrives with the supplies, she’ll learn Phyllis is looking into Jeremy’s emails and trying to find EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) since he helped with the scheme.

Summer will remain furious with Daniel for how he handled all this, but Phyllis will hate the tension and will hope to fix her family.

Of course, Summer will be more worried about Phyllis clearing her name, so Phyllis will think the two of them can find something since they’re way smarter than Jeremy ever was.

As Summer leaves, she’ll warn Phyllis to make this room her prison cell for now since it’s important that no one sees her.

When Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) runs into Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) at Society, he’ll apologize for being so hard on him over the end of his marriage.

Victor will have a better understanding of the situation with Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) now, so he’ll want to smooth things over.

After Victor fishes for details on Phyllis’ murder case, Chance will insist he’s not at liberty to discuss anything.

Once Chance gets a phone call from forensics, he’ll meet with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and confirm that the memorial program was covered in Phyllis’ fingerprints.

The tearstain also brought a DNA match – and since the programs weren’t printed up until after Phyllis supposed death, Christine will know she must be alive.

After Christine blows her top over Phyllis’ vindictive plan, she’ll declare that Phyllis has no idea what she’s unleashed.

Back with Victor, he’ll grill Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about his intentions with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Nate will butter Victor up and make it clear that he’d never undermine the company – not that Victoria or Victor would let him anyway.

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will notice Victoria has a little more pep in her step and will assume she’s seeing a new guy.

When Victoria admits it’s Nate, she’ll complain about Billy getting all negative and becoming the morality police.

Although Nate certainly isn’t Billy’s favorite person, he’ll eventually decide he’s happy for Victoria if she’s happy.

When Victoria spots Victor and Nate wrapping up their conversation, she’ll seek updates on how the grilling went and ask if Victor approves.

Victor will point out that Victoria doesn’t need his approval, but he’ll admit he does approve of Nate.

At the Abbott house on Monday’s Y&R episode, Billy will stop by looking for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and will find Diane instead.

Diane will stand by her innocence, so Billy will wonder how they can prove it.

If Diane doesn’t rise up as a free woman, Billy will worry it’s going to destroy Jack and maybe their entire family.

Diane’s confidence will surprise Billy as she insists she’ll definitely be cleared. According to Diane, her future with Jack will depend on it.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis’ mess will lead to even more issues, so stay tuned to watch the news spread and cause chaos.
