The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, May 4 – Elena Breaks Up with Nate – Diane’s House Arrest with Ankle Monitor

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 4, teases that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will have good news for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) since he was able to arrange a new bail hearing with a more reasonable judge.

Michael will hand over an outfit that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) sent for Diane to wear in court and will hope to have her out of jail by the end of the day.

Meanwhile, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will catch part of Jack’s phone conversation as he arranges to post Diane’s hefty bail.

That’ll lead to Jack and Ashley arguing about Diane as well as Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) since Ashley pulled his move-in stunt at the worst possible time.

At Chancellor-Winters, Tucker will visit Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and try to smooth things over since there was tension the last time they talked.

After Tucker updates Devon on selling McCall Unlimited to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he’ll admit he decided to stay in town in hopes of bonding with Devon and Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).

Since Devon is throwing a party in memory of Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) at the jazz lounge, Tucker will pitch a Neil Winters International Jazz Festival idea and hope to announce it at the bash.

Devon won’t want to rush into a decision that fast, but he’ll get that Tucker is trying to build a bridge and will end up inviting him to the party.

Tucker will appreciate the invitation and assure Devon that he’d love to attend.

During this conversation, Tucker will also let it slip that Ashley asked him to move in, so he’ll fill her in on that blunder at Society later.

Ashley will realize she needs to tell Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) before the news spreads, so she’ll text her about needing to talk.

Once Tucker mentions Devon inviting him to the party, he’ll get Ashley to agree to be his date for the event.

Back at the Abbott house on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Michael will bring Diane home after successfully arguing for her release on bail.

Diane will acknowledge that she’s on house arrest with an ankle monitor and had to surrender her passport, but she’ll be relieved to be in Jack’s arms again.

Although Diane will worry about Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) reaction to her release, Jack will stay optimistic and insist he’s never letting Diane go again before pulling her into a kiss.

In the park, Summer will finally convince Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) revealed she was alive and told her the whole faked death story.

Daniel will fume over Phyllis letting them suffer like this, but Summer will focus on the fact that they have another chance with their mom – though she won’t know where Phyllis is now.

Summer will feel like they have to figure out a plan to help Phyllis since she could land in prison for setting up Diane and killing Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

If they can’t find a solution, Summer will suggest letting Phyllis disappear would be better than having her locked up for the rest of her life.

Daniel will remind Summer that Diane is her own husband’s mother and will act like it’s appalling for her to even think of letting Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) mom take the fall for a crime she didn’t commit.

Summer will remind Daniel of all Diane’s transgressions and hint about karmic justice, but he’ll insist she didn’t murder Phyllis.

Besides, Phyllis faked her death too, so Daniel will wonder if their mom is really any better!

Summer will point out that a little break from Diane wouldn’t be so bad, but she won’t plan on leaving Diane locked away forever.

That said, Summer will think they have to clear Phyllis before they clear Diane.

Daniel, on the other hand, will think they need to tell the cops the truth and will suggest Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) can help.

When Daniel starts to leave, Summer will stop him and point out that she told him because she needed an ally who understood her perspective.

After Summer begs Daniel to tell her that he’s that person, Daniel will admit he doesn’t know before stomping off.

In Los Angeles, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will spy on Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at the café, where they’ll be strategizing ahead of a business meeting.

After Nate acts like they should put the personal part of their relationship aside for now, Victoria will get that Nate must feel conflicted and will reach for his hand.

Elena will march over to their table and take a jab about Nate saying he’d be traveling alone.

Once Victoria lets them talk privately, Elena will demand the truth from Nate.

Once Nate admits he slept with Victoria, he’ll insist he didn’t mean for this to happen and didn’t intend to hurt Elena.

After Elena throws a drink in Nate’s face and rants about him trying to gaslight her, she’ll remember how she defended Nate when his family called him ruthless and selfish.

Now Elena will wonder if Nate changed or if he was that way all along.

Regardless, Elena will suggest Nate can go straight to hell or back up to his hotel room with his boss.

Once Elena declares that it’s over, she’ll storm off before Victoria returns.

Victoria will hint that maybe subconsciously Nate wanted to get caught and will suggest he wasn’t as happy in his relationship as he let on.

Nate will need some time to process everything that’s happened, so he’ll leave the table to mull over the whole ordeal.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena could have a few more vengeful tricks up her sleeve, so stay tuned!
