The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, March 22 – Summer’s Outburst Seals Phyllis’ Fate – Devon Rejects Jill’s Solution

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 22, teases that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will interrupt the arbitration hearing once it resumes. After Jill announces that can solve this whole mess, she’ll convince Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to meet with her in a more casual setting without their attorneys.

Before Devon heads to Society, he’ll speak to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) privately and assume she must’ve enjoyed tearing him down like that.

Amanda will insist she takes no pleasure in stirring up the pain Devon caused.

Once Amanda rehashes Devon’s cheating and points out that he isn’t the man she thought he was, she’ll be glad to know the truth now.

At Society, Jill will sit down with Lily and Devon before revealing that the IPO is dead.

Since going public was Devon’s sticking point, Jill will hope her decision can pave the way to Devon and Lily becoming a family again.

However, Devon will insist he can’t forget how Lily stabbed him in the back.

Lily will call Devon out for being selfish as they start bickering again, but Jill will wonder what’s going to happen if they can’t find a way to forgive each other and work together.

Unfortunately, Devon just won’t see how he can ever do that.

At Crimson Lights, Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will send Devon a text and look up to find Amanda staring at her.

In Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) suite, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will rant about finding Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) engagement ring.

After Phyllis insists that evil must be eradicated, Jeremy will think it’s a good thing their plan will stop Diane dead in her tracks.

Since Phyllis will assume Jack and Diane are going to announce their engagement at the bicentennial gala, Jeremy will think they should make their move tonight, too.

The masquerade ball will allow Jeremy to work his magic without anyone even knowing he was there.

Phyllis will warn that this is life and death for her as she reminds Jeremy of the high stakes.

Jeremy will point out that they’re both taking huge risks and add that he’s not going back to prison.

At the Abbott house on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will convince Diane that they should announce their engagement at the gala tonight.

Diane will worry about Phyllis and Jeremy being up to something, but Jack will offer reassurance.

When Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) shows up, Jack will be delighted to see the Abbotts’ former housekeeper.

Mamie will be taken aback once she sees Diane alive, but Diane will simply suggest it’s a long story and leave the two of them to talk.

Jack will catch up with Mamie and insist she must stay at the house instead of at a hotel.

nce they discuss Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) death, Mamie will pick up on the fact that Jack’s in love.

Jack will acknowledge that his reunion with Diane has led to some issues, but Mamie will insist that Jack’s happiness is all that matters.

At Society, Diane will meet with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and offer updates on Phyllis scheming with Jeremy.

Kyle will find out that Jeremy never left town and that Phyllis just lied to get Diane back to GC along with Jack.

Once Kyle texts the news to Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier), Diane will wonder if he’s given any more thought to her engagement.

Kyle will end up meeting with both Jack and Diane to offer his blessing, so they’ll be thrilled.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also stop by the Abbott house and get a big surprise when he finds Mamie.

After Billy learns Mamie is back in town for the gala, he’ll be ecstatic and suggest it’s a good reason to attend.

Next, Billy will let Jack know that he’s decided to take the co-CEO job at Jabot, so Jack will excitedly welcome his brother back.

At the coffeehouse, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will do some brainstorming with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) about the gaming platform and admit he’s honored to be working with her.

Afterward, Billy will run into Chelsea and reveal his official Jabot return, so she’ll think things are going great for both of them.

Back at The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will seem nervous over a text from Summer about meeting up.

Jeremy will wonder if Phyllis is having a change of heart and will ask if she’s in or out.

Phyllis will warn that if she goes through with this, her entire life will change.

Every day will be about keeping this secret, so Phyllis will be concerned since this is really “next level.”

If Phyllis can’t go through with this, Jeremy will urge her to tell him now.

This will be Phyllis’ final chance to call it off, but she’ll insist she has to go and will rush off to meet Summer.

In the lobby, Phyllis will find Summer and get an earful for deceiving her about Jeremy’s trip to Europe.

Summer will acknowledge that their relationship is on the verge of total destruction and wonder if Phyllis seriously lied straight to her face.

Once Summer accuses Phyllis of joining forces with a dangerous felon, Phyllis will ask where she heard that and assume it was Diane.

Summer won’t even know who Phyllis is anymore, but Phyllis will fire back that she’s her mother.

Although Phyllis will defend everything she does to protect her daughter, Summer will insist this isn’t love and will call it traumatizing.

Since Phyllis is causing so much pain, Summer will warn that she needs her mom to stop or she needs her gone before someone gets really hurt.

Once Summer storms out, Phyllis will return to Jeremy’s suite and admit that she’s in.

Jeremy will be pleased as Phyllis says they’ll make it a party that they’ll never forget.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Phyllis and Jeremy’s plan will come with some shockers, so stay tuned!
