The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for the week of March 6-10 reveals that the show had some great character moments, so let’s talk about some of them. For starters, it was very on-brand for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to act like he was going to respect boundaries and then offer to buy Sally a whole house!
However, that’s part of Adam’s charm since he had good intentions.
Adam may not always make the best decisions, but he loves hard and often proves it with grand gestures.
In this case, Adam seemed to genuinely want to give Sally and her child a stable home.
In Adam’s speech, he even acknowledged Sally’s difficult childhood and the fact that she never had a place to settle down.
Although Sally admitted Adam’s offer was generous, she turned him down since she wants to make decisions about where she lives for herself.
Of course, Adam wasn’t the only one making grand gestures since Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) also offered up the Newman jet for Sally’s business trips.
Sally turned Nick down as well, so she’s trying to prove she can take care of herself and curb this Newman brother war a bit.
We should also mention Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) latest matchmaker plot, which involves trying to pull Sally away from Nick by convincing her that she belongs with Adam.
It’s nice to see Summer’s scheming side come out to play again.
Summer has been stuck in judgmental mode for a while now, so it feels like they’re taking her back to her manipulative roots.
At the cabin, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) had an outlandish dream where she got nothing but love from the Abbott clan ahead of her wedding.
Although Y&R seems to rely on fantasy sequences a little too often, this was arguably a fun once since it was just so ridiculous.
Between Summer acting like Diane was the mom she never had and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) declaring she loved Diane, there were a lot of entertaining moments that were worth a laugh.
