The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will see a golden opportunity and take full advantage of it. May sweeps will bring some major developments in Adam, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) love triangle, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on Y&R.
Adam has backed off for the moment, but that doesn’t mean he’s truly given up on a future with Sally.
Now that Sally and Adam are bonding over their baby girl, they’re growing closer and starting to feel a lot less awkward about spending time together.
That’ll put Adam in the prime position to make a bold move when the time is right.
It turns out Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will get caught up in an unexpected situation that requires Nick’s attention.
Nick has been making Sally the center of his world for quite a while now, but that won’t be possible once a crisis strikes for Sharon.
After Nick’s need to protect Sharon wins out, he’ll concentrate on her for a while and leave Sally hanging a bit.
Whether this involves Sharon’s cancer returning or some other shocker, Sharon will feel like she’s in over her head and will need Nick to be her rock.
Of course, Adam may not have all the facts once that happens, but he’ll definitely see that Nick is pulling away.
Since Adam is a smart guy, he’ll know this is exactly when he should make his big move.
While Nick’s distracted with all the Sharon drama, Adam will step up and try to become Sally’s main source of support ahead of the baby’s birth.
We’ll see Adam highlight his familiar connection with Sally and criticize Nick along the way, so he’ll feel like everything’s coming together.
Adam just has to remind Sally of how much they mean to each other and convince her that he’s not going to hurt her again.
Sally was seriously burned by Adam in the past, so the fear of a broken heart is undoubtedly a huge part of why she’s put walls up with her ex.
Fortunately, the baby is already starting to tear those walls down.
Once Nick’s not hovering as much, it’ll allow Adam to swoop in and make a play for Sally’s heart.
This could be the turning point that “Ally” fans have been waiting for!
Will Sally let herself surrender to Adam’s kiss? Could Adam and Sally get back together while Nick’s focus is on Sharon?
