The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) could find herself at another crossroads. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) pushed Claire to plead guilty by reason of insanity, so Claire followed orders off-screen.
When Claire recapped her plea to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), she pointed out that she did what Michael said.
“I always do what everyone says,” Claire admitted sadly. It was a subtle way of acknowledging that Claire’s constantly been under someone else’s control.
Jordan (Colleen Zenk) trained Claire to loathe the Newmans and then used her as a pawn in her cruel game.
Claire has talked about being Jordan’s good little soldier since she was desperate for praise and something close to a mother’s love.
Of course, Claire now realizes that Jordan lied about her parents abandoning her.
Jordan stole Cole and Victoria’s baby girl from the hospital by posing as a nurse all those years ago.
Since Jordan pulled off something that sneaky once, it’s not surprising that she’s doing it again!
In Y&R’s December 19 episode, wig-wearing Jordan arrives outside Claire’s room while dressed as a doctor.
Claire previously dreamed that Jordan visited her while she was in a holding cell, but Jordan is showing up for real this time around.
Although Jordan is a deeply disturbed woman, she must care about Claire on some level after raising her.
Even if Jordan is mostly just eager to get her ally back, she could slip in Claire’s room and push her to escape.
Jordan might promise to sneak Claire out so that they can continue inflicting misery on the Newmans together.
This could be a big moment for Claire – a turning point where she says enough is enough!
Claire deserves an opportunity to rip into Jordan for her deception, especially now that she has DNA confirmation and knows she was robbed of her parents’ love.
Perhaps Claire could reject Jordan’s getaway offer and scream for help – leading to a close call where Jordan almost gets captured.
That would go a long way toward proving to the Newmans that Claire is committed to turning her life around.
On the other hand, it’s also possible Claire will choose to flee with Jordan – at least long enough to break out of the psych ward.
Claire feels like she’s worthless and doesn’t see how the Newmans could ever accept her, so she might escape with the goal of starting a new life elsewhere.
That could bring Victoria and Cole’s frantic search for Claire if they find out she’s missing.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Claire will have to choose a new road to head down, so stay tuned for updates on stunning news ahead.
