The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that an exciting return is on the way. Chene’ Lawson will reprise the role of Harmony, who previously went by the name Yolanda Hamilton, so Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) mother is headed back to Genoa City.
Back when Yolanda was young and wild, she was a groupie who followed bands around and enjoyed hot hookups.
Yolanda got pregnant by Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), but the truth about Devon’s paternity didn’t come out until many years later.
Although Yolanda was a drug addict who went through some rough times, she eventually got clean and turned her life around.
Since Yolanda wanted to embrace that fresh start, she changed her name to Harmony and tried to stay on the right path.
Unfortunately, Tucker ultimately wound up in bed with Harmony once again, so that didn’t go over well with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) when she caught them!
There’s a good chance Ashley and Tucker will cross paths with Harmony while she’s in town, so that could lead to some awkwardness.
Since Harmony will be around for several episodes according to SOD, she’ll have an opportunity to catch up with some familiar faces during this visit.
Devon will obviously be one of them, so he’ll get an emotional mother-son reunion.
As for when Chene’ Lawson’s first airdate will be, you can catch her back in the role starting Friday, May 5.
We should point out that Shemar Moore (Malcolm Winters) is also scheduled to make a comeback on Monday, May 8, so Devon will have a little family reunion going on soon.
It’s been nice to see the show including some blast-from-the-past characters lately.
It’s a good way to keep Y&R’s 50th anniversary celebration going strong and shake things up on canvas in the process.
