The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is too stubborn to see a path forward with Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) right now, but things could change in the not-too-distant future. Kyle just needs a reminder of what’s really important in life, so maybe he’ll get one and experience a shift in perspective.
Summer was deeply hurt when she realized Kyle immediately hopped in bed with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) during their separation.
It’s tough for Summer to understand how Kyle could throw their life together away, especially since there’s a young child involved.
Summer has become a mother to Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez), who’s already been through so much upheaval in his short life.
The last thing Summer wanted was to put Harrison through the pain of a split, so she doesn’t get why this seems so easy for Kyle.
Harrison could indeed be the key to a Kyle and Summer reunion since one’s probably going to happen eventually. Perhaps Harrison will be part of why Kyle ultimately has a change of heart.
Kyle is still fed up with Summer for keeping secrets about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) survival and shattering the trust between them. Now Summer’s angry too since Kyle was so quick to betray her with Audra.
However, Harrison’s well-being is the one thing Summer and Kyle can agree on.
Kyle and Summer want Harrison to be healthy and happy, so a medical emergency for their son could turn their lives upside down.
It’d be a great way to force Summer and Kyle to bond again since they both love Harrison more than anything.
Perhaps Harrison could accidentally get injured or develop a mysterious illness. Summer might be the one who initially realizes there’s trouble and rushes Harrison to the hospital.
That could bring a difficult waiting game for Summer and Kyle, so they could reconnect and hope for good news together.
A crisis like this could help Kyle and Summer remember that the love their family shares is what really matters.
Harrison got sick back when Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was working toward redemption, so Y&R let her play the hero and used Harrison as a tool for the storyline.
Maybe Harrison will be used for a Summer and Kyle reunion too if a more serious medical emergency strikes. It could make Kyle and Summer cling to each other and never want to let go again!
