The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has a massive crush on Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and craves him so much that it’s driving her wild. However, Summer doesn’t want to be “the other woman” and is trying to respect Chance’s romance with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) – at least for now.
Perhaps Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has offered Summer an easy solution to her dilemma, even if Summer doesn’t realize it just yet.
Phyllis doesn’t think Sharon and Chance’s relationship will amount to much of anything since it always comes back to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for Sharon.
There’s no denying that Sharon’s bond with Nick is special, so Summer could eventually get an idea.
Since Summer doesn’t want to be the other woman, maybe she needs to focus on pushing Sharon toward another man instead – namely Nick!
Summer might decide to do some matchmaking for Nick and Sharon since it’d be a win-win situation in her eyes.
If Summer determines that Phyllis is right, she might tell herself that Sharon and Nick are just going to end up back together anyway.
Summer might feel like she’s just speeding things along by playing Cupid for these exes.
Of course, Summer could justify her actions by suggesting that Nick, Sharon and the children they share will be on cloud nine over the “Shick” reunion.
Meanwhile, Summer no doubt thinks she can make Chance happy – and she feels confident that he can make her happy, too.
If Sharon reunites with Nick, then Summer can pounce on Chance without feeling guilty about it.
Summer might think she can live happily ever after with Chance while Sharon lives happily ever after with Nick. In Summer’s mind, the problem would be solved any way you slice it!
Will Summer try to push Nick and Sharon back together in the next phase of this Y&R story? Could Sharon and Nick’s reunion news open the door to Summer’s own romance with Chance?
