The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will eventually get updates on Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) growing bond. Victoria has already seen the closeness that’s developed between Billy and Chelsea, but she doesn’t realize they’re on the verge of couple status.
There’s a good chance Chelsea and Billy will go public at the upcoming bicentennial gala.
That seems like the right time and place for Billy to officially kick off his Y&R romance with Chelsea and show her off at the masquerade ball.
Of course, Victoria already feels rather threatened by Chelsea since she’s Johnny Abbott’s (Paxton Mishkind) biological mother.
Chelsea has assured Victoria that she’s not trying to take her place, but it’s easy to see why Victoria will be concerned over Chelsea’s romantic relationship with Billy.
Johnny initially rejected Chelsea, but now he’s warmed up to her and actually seems to value their time together.
Once Billy and Chelsea are officially dating, that’ll inevitably bring more chances for them to connect with Johnny and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) as a family.
Victoria doesn’t have much of a personal life anyway, so it could sting watching Chelsea get this new-and-improved version of Billy and play mom to Johnny.
It could lead to Victoria spinning out a bit due to her history with Billy and insecurities about her adopted son.
Naturally, that might also bring an opportunity for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to comfort Victoria.
This is the kind of thing that could really pull Victoria and Nate closer, so that could bring dangerous temptation at the worst possible time.
Despite Nate’s attempt to set some limits and draw a professional line, he won’t be able to ignore Victoria’s pain.
Nate and Victoria could easily get caught in a compromising position, especially now that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) is suspicious of how much they’re in each other’s orbit.
Bottom line, Victoria will inevitably have a tough time adjusting to Billy and Chelsea’s romantic steps forward, so she may spin out and lean on Nate.
