The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 25, teases that Lauren Fenmore-Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will gather with her loved ones to celebrate her Lifetime Achievement Award for Leadership in Fashion.
Outside the ballroom, Lauren will meet up with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) before Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman), Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) join them.
Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker) will appear and introduce his boyfriend, Trey (Julian Larach), who also happens to be a Fenmore’s buyer in Nashville.
Since Trey will consider Lauren such an icon, he’ll hope she’s willing to tell him her life story.
That’ll lead to everyone sitting around the lounge area at The Grand Phoenix.
Y&R fans will see flashbacks as Lauren starts at the beginning and mentions her selfish ice queen mother.
Lauren will admit she was a handful as a teenager and was a real mean girl to Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).
There’ll be blast-from-the-past scenes of Lauren and Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) as well as ones of Lauren’s relationship with Paul Williams (Doug Davidson).
Lauren will reflect on Paul’s devout Catholic mother thinking she was bad news.
When Gloria asks why things ended with Paul, Lauren will reflect on a stalker who threatened Paul’s life if she didn’t divorce him.
Once Lauren recalls Paul saving her from almost being buried alive, she’ll open up about losing her father and trying to live up to his legacy.
Talk will turn to Lauren’s marriage to Scott Grainger (Peter Barton), which led to Lauren meeting Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).
Lauren didn’t know it back then, but she was looking in the face of pure evil.
After Lauren reflects on Sheila getting pregnant by Scott at the same time as her, she’ll remember the baby switch and the fire she thought Sheila perished in.
Instead, Sheila kept coming back again and again.
Despite having been assured Sheila is deceased, Lauren will struggle to believe it even now.
If “that bitch” decides to resurrect and come near the people she loves, Lauren will warn that Sheila will wish she’d stayed dead.
Y&R obviously hasn’t communicated with The Bold and the Beautiful very well for their scripts since Sheila is alive and out of prison.
Lauren could use a call from someone in Los Angeles right about now!
As for Lauren’s continued life story, Kevin will give Trey updates on when he was smitten with her – though he didn’t handle it well when he realized it was one-sided.
Michael and Lauren came together out of concern for Kevin at first, but they ultimately realized they couldn’t get enough of each other.
After a flashback of Michael’s casino marriage proposal, Gloria will recall how she planned their wedding.
Lauren will then discuss the joy of Fen’s birth and the shock of finding out Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) was her biological half-sister.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will eventually come along and talk about her special bond with Lauren as well as Michael.
After Phyllis reflects on Michael and Lauren setting a great example as a couple, Michael will admit his wife is the bravest, fiercest human being he’s ever met.
Once the party breaks up, Lauren and Michael will watch Fen head up to Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) nightclub with Trey.
These proud parents will be pleased that Fen has found love as they reflect on beating all the obstacles.
After some final boat explosion and cancer struggle flashbacks, Michael will make a sweet vow to Lauren.
Once Michael promises to love, honor and cherish Lauren until the day he dies, he’ll give her a kiss and a hug.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lauren and Michael hopefully have many more bright chapters ahead, so stay tuned.
