The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 29, indicates that Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will fear the worst when Ashley Abbott-McCall (Eileen Davidson) mentions moving out of the Abbott mansion with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
It’ll leave Abby worried that the truce she helped establish will fall through, but Ashley will insist she’s trying to keep the peace with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Of course, Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) is a different story since Ashley still hates her guts! When Diane interrupts Ashley’s lunch with Abby and hopes for a path forward, Ashley will blow up at her instead.
Ashley will make it clear that Diane will never be a true Abbott in her eyes. Diane’s marriage to Jack doesn’t mean she’s part of the family – at least that’s how Ashley will feel about it.
However, things will take a startling turn after Abby exits. Ashley will begin choking on a piece of fruit, so Diane will leap into action and will apparently perform the Heimlich maneuver.
After Ashley spits out the fruit blocking her airway, she’ll be in shock over Diane saving her life. It’ll give Ashley a new perspective when it comes to Jack’s previously problematic wife, so Ashley will be willing to open her mind a bit.
While Ashley and Diane find common ground, Tucker will drive a wedge between Jack and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Y&R spoilers say the brothers will go from pretend conflict to legitimate hostility thanks to Tucker’s button-pushing.
At the tack house, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will support Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) ahead of their meeting with Dr. George (Mattilyn Rochester Kravitz), who’ll ultimately offer some updates on their daughter’s hearing.
Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) has a condition that affects her hearing, so that’ll bring good news and bad news. Although Aria can be treated, whatever she has isn’t curable – and that’s a challenge her parents will have to cope with.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tessa and Mariah will gather all the information they can from Dr. George as they try to figure out the path ahead.
