The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, May 16, teases that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will fret over what he just divulged to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and the others at the Abbott house.
Although Daniel will feel like he had no other option, he’ll still fear this could blow up in the worst possible way.
Daniel will be cagey when Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) quizzes him at the coffeehouse, but she may assume he’s just dealing with a lot due to Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) death.
As for Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, she’ll keep pretending her mom’s gone for good as she has an awkward conversation with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Billy and Summer will mull over the past, so they’ll discuss some Phyllis memories and maybe even that horrible “Bummer” hookup they’d rather forget!
Next, Billy will reconvene with Chelsea and offer reassurance about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) getting through the latest family crisis.
Chelsea will naturally worry about her son, but Billy will think Connor’s going to adjust to his new baby sister when the time comes.
While Billy comforts Chelsea about that situation, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be busy riling Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) up.
There’ll be some tense moments at Society, where Victor may trash Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and earn some harsh words from Jack in response.
Jack will be sick of everyone acting like Diane is guilty, so he’ll be ready to come clean to Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) about Phyllis and Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) scheme once the DA arrives.
In the meantime, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will shock Diane with a confession of his own.
Once Diane learns Phyllis faked her death and teamed up with Stark for a revenge plot that went wrong, she’ll reel over this wild twist.
Diane will seethe over Phyllis setting her up to take the fall for a crime she didn’t commit, but she’ll at least be glad there’s some light at the end of this tunnel.
Of course, Diane will probably push Kyle to confess this news to Summer as well, so he may admit he’s on the same page and plan to deliver the shocker when she comes home.
