Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 11, reveals that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) tried to remind Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) of the flowers she still hadn’t accepted and once again apologized for his role in Clyde Weston’s (James Read) escape.
Kayla finally accepted the flowers and vowed to forgive Steve, but she still needed to be mad at him – at least for today.
Steve eventually admitted there was something else he needed to get off his chest, so he offered updates on the whole Catharina (Ellie Patrikios) saga and his guilt over how things turned out.
Steve also admitted he didn’t believe Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) forgiveness of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was genuine.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) enjoyed some bonding time with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and was proud of her for telling the truth.
While Maggie was out of the room getting tea and lemon bars, Holly texted Tate Black (Leo Howard) on her burner phone and hinted about needing a rescue.
At the pub, Tate shared a meal with John and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), so he pretended he understood why he’d been banned from Holly and acted like it was for the best.
After Tate saw Holly’s text, he lied to Marlena and John about needing to study with a buddy for an upcoming chemistry test and took off.
John took a moment to reflect on Konstantin’s forgiveness and admitted to Marlena that he was working on trying to forgive himself, but it obviously wasn’t easy.
Next on Thursday’s Days episode, Konstantin gazed at Catharina’s photo and looked at the red card that could control “The Pawn.”
Despite pretending to forgive John, Konstantin insisted he’d never truly do that and vowed to avenge Catharina.
Meanwhile, Holly got Tate’s text to meet her in the park. After getting an introduction to Konstantin, Holly said she should go and promised Maggie that she’d head straight home.
Konstantin insisted he was happy for Maggie now that Holly was out of her coma, so she admitted she didn’t think she could take another loss.
Maggie reflected on what a light her children and grandchildren were in her life, but then she apologized for being insensitive since Konstantin lost Catharina.
Konstantin assured Maggie that no apology was necessary, but he eventually delivered a curveball by announcing that he was leaving.
Maggie was taken aback as Konstantin explained that his visa was expiring and he couldn’t get another extension, so he had no choice but to go.
At Harris Michaels’ (Steve Burton) apartment, Ava Vitali (Tamarra Braun) showed up and pounced on him to distract herself from all her Clyde Weston (James Read) problems.
After hitting the sheets, Harris wondered if Ava was in trouble based on the hints she was dropping.
Ava lied that her only issue was where she’d stay since she told Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) that she was moving out.
Harris insisted Ava could move in with him, so she agreed to be roommates with benefits.
Ava eventually admitted Clyde called earlier and that he wanted her to do another job for him, so Harris seemed concerned.
Back at Steve and Kayla’s place, John showed up at the door. Kayla angrily slammed her fist into John’s chest, so he eventually realized Steve must’ve told her about their plan to help Clyde escape.
In private, Steve and John talked about what happened in Aria. After Steve suggested someone else could’ve been at that location, John agreed with him about launching an investigation and trying to find Catharina’s mother to see what she knew.
In the town square, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) asked if Everett Lynch aka Bobby Stein (Blake Berris) still had feelings for Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), but he denied it since he didn’t even remember her.
Stephanie wondered why Everett would want to stay married to Jada, but he insisted he couldn’t sign the divorce papers as Bobby since he wasn’t that man.
When Stephanie tried to point out that Everett had been formally identified as Robert Stein, Everett got menacing as he shushed her and warned her to never call him that again.
Stephanie seemed weirded out and apologized for offending Everett, but he apologized next since he’d been so stressed out over all this.
After Everett mentioned his latest therapy session with Marlena, he headed to the hospital.
In Marlena’s office on Thursday’s DOOL show, Everett confessed he wasn’t doing well and once again explained that it’d be forgery for him to sign the divorce papers as Bobby.
Everett also admitted he wasn’t completely honest about everything he saw in hypnosis before, so he finally told Marlena about seeing himself and wondered what it meant.
Marlena acknowledged that Everett was struggling to wrap his head around his double life and wanted to do another hypnosis session, but Everett refused and said no more digging.
Once Everett got agitated, he abruptly wrapped up the appointment and left.
Back with Stephanie on Thursday’s Days episode, she gave Kayla all the latest Everett news and acknowledged that she still felt something for him.
Kayla admitted she asked Marlena if Everett could be faking, but she was proud of Stephanie being so kind and compassionate.
In the park, Tate met up with Holly, so they made sure the coast was clear before flirting and kissing.
Holly thanked Tate for picking up her favorite doughnuts from Sweet Bits and accepted his sweatshirt since she was cold.
Tate put a blanket around Holly as well and snuggled with her on a bench. Kayla and Stephanie showed up at one point, so Holly and Tate convinced them to pretend this encounter never happened.
Tate and Holly admitted they weren’t supposed to see each other, but Stephanie said she wouldn’t divulge anything – and Kayla suggested it wasn’t her place to blab either.
Although Kayla felt a bit guilty about the deception, Stephanie pointed out that they were young and in love. Kayla understood since it reminded her of her younger years with Steve.
Holly gave Tate back his sweatshirt since Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) would notice if she kept it.
Although Holly had to head home, she assured Tate that he’d see her again soon.
