General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, February 2, reveals that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) came home to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), who’d been released from GH and was waiting to comfort her.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) showed up to console Laura next and got updates on Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) body seemingly being washed out to sea along with deceased Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).
Talk turned to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), so Laura made it clear that the beating Sonny gave him wasn’t OK and that she expected better moving forward.
Cyrus eventually showed up at the door and started berating Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) until Kevin let him in.
Sonny glared as Cyrus tried to comfort Laura with scripture, but she snapped that it wasn’t helping and wanted him to leave.
Sonny exited as well, so Cyrus acknowledged that he gave him a pass on the assault, but Sonny would only get one.
After Cyrus pointed out that he wasn’t a saint, Sonny said that made two of them.
Back inside, Kevin brought Laura a drink spiked with a little something to cut the edge off.
After they reflected on Esme going off the rails over losing Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), Kevin assured Laura that she couldn’t have known what would happen.
In a moment alone, Laura looked at a pic of little Spencer on her phone before answering a knock at the door.
A tearful Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was there holding Ace, so Laura cried at the sight of them.
At Sonny’s penthouse, Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) visited Ava Jerome (Maura West) and got reassurance that Sonny wouldn’t be back anytime soon.
Ava offered info on all the island drama before talk turned to Nina’s marriage.
Although Sonny hadn’t really opened up to Ava, she admitted he was still wearing his wedding ring.
That said, Ava thought it was best for Nina to prepare for a life without Sonny.
Nina refused to give up on Sonny, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and her grandkids since they were all she had left without Crimson.
Since Nina couldn’t watch over Sonny right now, she hoped that Sonny and Ava would look out for each other.
When Sonny came home sooner than planned, Nina hid in the other room.
After overhearing Sonny admit Spencer’s demise, Nina came out of hiding and expressed her condolences.
Sonny said he couldn’t do this now, so Nina apologized and took that as her cue to leave.
Ava ultimately put a comforting hand on Sonny’s shoulder before exiting the room to call Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
At the dorm, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was surprised to see Trina since she was supposed to be in Paris.
Since Joss could tell something was wrong, Trina admitted Spencer was deceased and explained the whole ugly story.
Josslyn cried and comforted Trina before deciding Cameron Webber (William Lipton) should hear this news from them.
Once Josslyn got Cam on the phone, she prepared to fill him in on the tragedy.
At Bobbie’s, Carly had an encounter with a mysterious man named John who mentioned that he used to work there back when the place was named Kelly’s.
Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) arrived with Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda), who ended up watching Olivia and Carly bicker through the window once he was inside.
Leo seemed nervous as he pulled out his fidget spinner, so the man from earlier approached him and commented on his animal books.
Although Leo was wary of talking to a stranger, John said it was all right since he was law enforcement and showed Leo his FBI badge.
Back with Olivia, she talked to Carly about the article that just came out about Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) leading with his heart instead of his head, so they both knew Nina was the anonymous source.
Carly was miffed about Olivia keeping Nina’s secret, but Olivia did her best to explain her actions and apologize.
When Olivia joined Leo inside, she met John and learned he also had a son with autism. John eventually got called away and told the person on the other end that no one should make a move until he arrived.
Leo was glad to see that Carly and Olivia were on the verge of patching things up, so the three of them shared a group hug.
Next, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) hid guns around a motel room as a precaution ahead of their trap for O’Neill (Jeff Leaf), the seller of the stolen WSB weapons.
Jordan met with O’Neill and pretended she was interested in buying a gun, but he wanted to take her to another location to deal with his accountant for payment.
When Jordan tried to go for one of the weapons she hid, O’Neill grabbed her and got the upper hand briefly.
Anna appeared moments later with her weapon drawn, so O’Neill was forced to put his hands up and faced questions about who else he’d been selling to in Port Charles.
The FBI agent from earlier barged in armed with backup, so Anna and Jordan slowly lowered their guns.
John wondered if Anna didn’t recognize him, so it eventually dawned on her that he was John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington).
General Hospital spoilers say Jagger’s return will lead to some interesting story developments, so stay tuned.
