General Hospital Recap: Monday, February 19 – Josslyns' New Life with Dex – Nina Plots Carly & Drew’s Next Scandal

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 19, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up at Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) place looking for him and found Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) instead.

Josslyn admitted Dex was gone and explained what went down with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Although Josslyn wondered if she could even trust Sonny’s claims about Dex being alive, Carly felt that she could and that Sonny let him live for Joss.

Despite Josslyn’s fury, Carly showed some loyalty to Sonny and admitted she never quit on him, even when he messed up.

After Josslyn sought Carly’s help finding Dex, Carly pushed her daughter to consider what would happen if she found him.

Carly acted like maybe it was a good thing now that Dex was free, but Josslyn refused to let Sonny come between them.

Josslyn insisted she’d find Dex herself if she had to – and if he wouldn’t come home, then they’d just start fresh somewhere else.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) complained about there not being a “and guest” line on her wedding invitation and took it as a personal insult over her ability to get a date.

Once Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) proved it was a misprint, they started fishing to find out who Tracy wanted to bring as her plus one.

Although Tracy acted like she was fine with flying solo, Brook Lynn privately expressed concern to Lois about Tracy being lonely since Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) passed away.

At GH, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) was distracted and initially didn’t hear Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) calling for him when he got off the elevator.

Marshall offered updates on some good news following his appointment with his psychiatrist, who had been weaning him off his meds and backed up the schizophrenia misdiagnosis since there’d been no other episodes.

That still left Marshall wondering about what actually caused his symptoms all those years ago, but he decided maybe he’d just have to live with the mystery. Once Stella was alone, she got on the phone to seek a favor.

In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) surprised her as well as Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) by revealing that he’d purchased The Invader.

Alexis flipped out and decided she’d just quit since she assumed there’d be all sorts of changes, but Valentin tried to put her mind at ease.

That said, Valentin needed someone with publishing experience now that Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) was out of the picture.

Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) appeared and acted thrilled to be pitching in, but Alexis was uneasy and asked why Nina got fired from her last job.

That led to Nina insisting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) wanted Carly to take over Crimson as part of his personal vendetta.

Although Nina had never run a daily paper before, she thought her publishing experience would be beneficial and eventually shook hands with Alexis on the new arrangement.

Gregory privately worried about the gamble Alexis was taking by working with Nina and Valentin, but Alexis couldn’t leave The Invader since she needed to know what they were up to.

Despite Nina’s claims that Alexis was doing a great job, she privately hinted to Valentin about focusing on the stories that readers were interested in – like ones about Carly and Drew.

At home, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) could see that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) wasn’t letting him in when it came to her grief, so he gave her a gentle nudge to open up.

Trina finally did confide about how she didn’t care about so many things that previously seemed important.

It was tough for Trina to imagine going back to college, so Curtis suggested she didn’t have to.

Trina was struggling to imagine being happy again and feared all she’d have left of Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) one day was the turtledove figurine.

Curtis got Trina to open up about the story behind the turtledoves, which seemed to help her.

General Hospital spoilers say Trina will keep trying to tackle this difficult loss, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel since Spencer’s coming back down the road.
