General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could make a bold move against Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) soon. Once Sonny finds out the real story behind Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) betrayal, he’s going to be livid with Michael for his prison plot.
Michael schemed to put Sonny behind bars, so Sonny will surely think he’s a giant hypocrite for how he’s treated Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros).
There’s been a lot of focus on the fact that Nina’s SEC snitching separated Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) from Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) and could’ve separated Carly from Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears), too.
However, Michael’s original plan would’ve put Sonny in the slammer or on the run – meaning he wouldn’t have had an opportunity to raise Donna or Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
Although Michael ultimately bailed on his scheme, Sonny’s going to have a hard time getting past his deception – especially since untrustworthy Dex still reports back to Michael with privileged info.
Michael got on Sonny’s bad side when he hid the truth about Nina being the SEC rat – and Sonny wasn’t too happy about Michael blackmailing Nina either!
GH fans know Michael apologized and asked for forgiveness, now he’s got even worse offenses to add to the list.
Will Sonny decide it’s just too much and warn that can’t forgive Michael this time?
It’s easy to imagine Sonny disowning Michael for this level of secrecy, especially since he put the whole organization at risk with wildcard Dex and the whole Pikeman setup.
Sonny may announce that he’s done with Michael for good and declare that Michael isn’t his son anymore.
Of course, it’s pretty common for powerful, volatile characters like Sonny to disown their children if they get angry enough, but it doesn’t usually stick!
Sonny will surely find it in his heart to forgive Michael down the road, but it could be a long time before that happens.
Until then, Michael’s actions could be the catalyst for Sonny forgiving Nina, but we’ll just have to see how things play out.
Regardless, General Hospital spoilers hint that Sonny will have a chance to unleash his wrath on Michael after Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) updates him on some stunning news!
