The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, February 16, reveals that Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) argued there was no reason to turn her mistake into something so much worse for Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada).
Poppy thought it was best to hide the truth from RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman), who didn’t need to know what happened with Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) in her opinion.
When Luna heard a knock at the door, she sent Poppy in the other room to hide and expected to find RJ standing there.
Zende was at the door instead, so he came in and wanted to have another discussion about what went down.
Poppy came running out and shoved Zende before demanding to know if he took advantage of her daughter.
Zende said absolutely not – and Luna backed him up since she remembered enough to know he didn’t do anything wrong.
Since Zende was confused about how Luna mistook him for RJ, Luna delivered the mint mix-up news. Zende was stunned to learn Luna accidentally got her hands on Poppy’s mints that were laced with something.
Once Zende realized Luna was high and hallucinating last night, he asked how Poppy could do this to Luna.
Zende pointed out that Poppy took something from him too since he really cared about Luna and thought they might share something beautiful – but not like this!
Now that Zende knew the truth, Luna insisted RJ should know, too. After Luna ranted about her relationship being tainted by Poppy’s “damn drugs,” she said she could barely look at her mother right now.
Zende understood Luna’s desire to come clean, but he agreed with Poppy about burying the secret.
As Zende got increasingly upset, he said no one would understand and that this would affect Luna’s reputation, too.
Zende thought telling the truth would hurt RJ unnecessarily, so Poppy said he was right and warned Luna not to say a word to her boyfriend.
At Forrester Creations on Friday’s B&B episode, RJ was working feverishly on a new sketch when Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) arrived.
After RJ admitted he was trying to hurry since he planned to meet up with Luna, he gushed over how amazing she was.
Thomas and Hope could tell that RJ was really in love, so that led to an awkward discussion about how he tried to make Luna’s first time perfect.
RJ felt that Luna was the epitome of honesty, which was one of the reasons he was so attracted to her. It was so easy for RJ to trust Luna.
Once RJ left, Hope confessed that this talk about love got her thinking about Thomas and his ring, so he kissed her and flashed a hopeful smile.
In the design office, Zende tried to work on a sketch, but he wound up slamming his pencil down in frustration.
As Zende thought back to all the drama with Luna, he teared up again and threw everything off the desk.
Zende paced around a bit before sitting back down with a pensive expression.
At the beach house, RJ was pleased when Luna showed, so he greeted her and asked if she was feeling better.
Luna said not entirely and listened as RJ suggested it was the best feeling in the world to have your mom take care of you when you’re sick.
RJ could tell something was wrong, so he wondered if this was about the party and said he understood about Luna leaving early.
Once RJ talked about wishing he could’ve wrapped Luna in his arms last night, Luna wished she’d been there with him. RJ had no idea how much!
Since Luna was visibly upset, RJ said she was there now and offered reassurance. When RJ kissed Luna, she flashed back to all the chaos the special mints had caused and pulled away.
RJ was puzzled over what was going on and told Luna that she could tell him anything at all. Luna wanted to believe that, so RJ insisted she could and said he just wanted to help.
Luna told RJ that she loved him so much and always wanted to be honest with him, so there was something he needed to know about last night.
As Luna stared at RJ with tears in her eyes, he looked baffled over what had her so distraught.
