Doug McBride’s (Jason Graham) gambling addiction is about to spill into his work life, while Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) is close to being busted.
Plus, Andre Richarson (Sean Freeman) is involved in some controversy, so it’s time to dive into what fans should expect to see unfold over the next five days.
Let’s start off with Doug, as Beyond the Gates spoilers suggest that his gambling may start to affect his career.
This could be a disaster, as Doug is a surgeon. Could he make a mistake while conducting surgery because he’s exhausted from a long night at the casino?
Then again, there’s always a possibility that one of Joey Armstrong’s (Jon Lindstrom) thugs beat Doug up so badly, due to unpaid gambling debts, that he can’t go into work.
If Doug’s hands get injured in any way, this would make him unable to perform surgeries, so any of these scenarios could cause chaos in the man’s life.
Speaking of doom and gloom, Leslie’s week will start off strong but could end on a sour note.
While she successfully scams money from Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson) to keep quiet about their affair many years ago, as the days go by, teasers hint that she could get caught for her role in Laura Peterson’s (Destiny Love) accident.
Fans may recall that Leslie was the motorcyclist who ran the young woman off the road.
Leslie was determined to keep Laura from working so that her daughter, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) could step in and be a mole for Leslie’s plan to bring the Richarson family down.
Leslie accomplished this through her plan and has been causing drama since, but could this be brought to an abrupt halt?
That’s hard to say, as it looks like Ted’s past and present will collide by the time the weekend hits.
Despite Leslie scoring $50,000 from her ex-lover during the week of April 7-11, Leslie will make a promise to Eva that she still plans to spill the beans about their affair to Nicole Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix) during their anniversary bash.
Will this all go down during the Friday, April 11 episode? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
Over to Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley); there will be some tension between her and Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla).
Chelsea will do her final assignment as a model, walking down the runway during a big fashion event, and her momager will do everything she can to make sure this is a memorable experience for her daughter.
In fact, it looks like all the Duprees will be in attendance for the grand event, including Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), Nicole, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), and Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning).
In fact, Martin and Smitty’s daughter, Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson), will be so taken by the entire thing that she’ll start to have modeling aspirations of her own and hope that Chelsea can help her break into the biz.
While Smitty and Martin will be apprehensive about it all, it sounds like they won’t exactly say “no” just yet.
Regardless, Samantha’s modeling dreams will create some issues between Dani and Chelsea, so perhaps Dani decides to move on from Chelsea to Samantha, which could potentially trigger some jealousy from her youngest daughter.
Meanwhile, Smitty and Martin will continue to have some marital issues as Smitty takes on a new assignment.
Martin has had concerns over Smitty heading back to work, so will the proverbial poop hit the fan in their household once the stay-at-home dad dives in?
Then again, what if his assignment has to do with someone from Martin’s family or the big “secret” he is hiding?
In related news, the couple’s son, Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller), will deal with some humiliation.
Is this about those photos in his underwear that a classmate sent to a girl?
Tyrell got beat up bad by the girl’s jock boyfriend, so there may be some additional retaliation there. Could someone send those photos to the entire school?
Over to Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett), Beyond the Gates spoilers imply the lawyer will stand his ground, and it sounds like this will be about the problems Hayley Lawson-Hamilton (Marquita Goings) has experienced at the country club.
From getting snubbed at the restaurant to having difficulty booking facilities, everyone there seems to be #TeamDani, and making Hayley’s life difficult.
Still, it looks like Bill will make it clear that he and Hayley refuse to fade away so will everyone start to come around?
Lastly, Andre Richardson (Sean Freelance) continues his nurse’s documentary at the hospital, but from the sounds of it, not everyone will be happy about his presence.
Beyond the Gates spoilers suggest that at some point during the week of April 7, Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) will catch Andre videoing something he shouldn’t and immediately ask him to delete it.
