In tonight’s Elsbeth episode, Craig Hollis was a billionaire. He was considered a crazy billionaire. He had a date with a young woman named Emily Fogarty. They were opening a wine bottle and suddenly he pulled her into his safe room. He thought someone was breaking in or so he claims.

He then showed Emily everything. He does mean everything. He showed her his bullet shooting drones. He showed her how he could microwave people. She thought he was a freak and she left a blind item on social media. She never mentioned his name yet he felt uncomfortable. He got his fixer to shut it down. The video got taken down.

It just wasn’t enough for Craig. He said the internet was forever. He didn’t want people trying to do their own research and found out the crazy billionaire was him. He wanted the fixer to do more. He was paid to do more. What Craig didn’t count on was that the fixer was talking to the board.

The board wanted evidence to get rid of Craig and the only reason Craig was burying the story with Emily was because he didn’t want the board to get that evidence. His fixer betraying him was just too much.

Craig locked him in the safe room. He originally planned on microwaving him only that didn’t work out. He then tried to beat him with a hammer and they were evenly matched. The only thing left to do was just lock him in the safe room. Craig was hoping to keep him in there until he died.

He didn’t count on someone reporting him missing. Anders Wittman wasn’t just a fixer for Craig. He has other clients. He has a dog that was left by himself in his apartment and who needed to be taken by animal control. He has friends because it’s best to make friends with skip tracers.

Anders was missed. His coworkers said he might have gone to ground because of a client. They also mentioned that he was looking to leave crisis management. He simply hadn’t told his clients about it. Elsbeth got on this case after she heard about his dog being left alone to bark.

She worked with Officer Nikki Renoylds and Lieutenant Steve Connor because the detectives were all busy. They tracked Anders’s last movements. They found out he was covering up a mess for Craig so they sought out Craig.

Craig denied seeing Anders. He wasn’t good with people and that part was true. Only he had Swiss chocolates. They were same brand that Anders got for his coworkers. He just got back from his trip to Switzerland and he gave everyone a gift. He was excited about picking up his dog from the kennel.

The dog was his only family because the job gets in the way of everything else. He would never leave the dog to bark all night on his own. Something happened to him. Elsbeth’s money was on Craig. He was just too creepy and the chocolates showed that Anders was at his house.

Craig had withdrawn from everyone. He fired all the staff. He replaced them with AI. His fixer was supposed to keep everyone away. Like his family, the intern that was suing him, and now Emily. He Craig missed covid because he didn’t have to deal with people or talk to them.

He lived in constant fear of the poor attacking the rich. Hence he built that safe room. He also had a nuclear bunker somewhere in New Zealand. He was a weird guy and Anders could see that he could never fix him. And so might as well make money off of him.

Anders escaped the safe room. He climbed through the tunnels. He made it to the street where he got by a car and died instantly. Craig didn’t know he was dead when the cops got a warrant to search his home. They found the safe room.

They just didn’t find evidence that Anders was ever there. Nor was the evidence on Anders’s body indicating he was there. They had to come at Craig another way. They got information from Emily. Emily was going to sue Anders for defamation because he released a bunch of fakes of her doing horrible things on the internet. It was a means of discrediting what she said about Craig.

Only Emily was worried about the next woman that went to dinner there. It got Elsbeth thinking. She went to a an escape room with the officers and she thought that Anders left something behind. Then she remembered the fruit flies from the saferoom.

The cops went back there and they found out that Anders used his fingernail to carve one final message into the banana. It was Drac 125. It was his way of saying Craig killed because Drac was his code name at the firm. And 125 was the penal code for homicide.

Craig got arrested and he’s hopeful he can get a great lawyer, but they might not be interested in fixing this after what happened to the last fixer.

And Elsbeth ran into Judge Crawford’s widow. They got to talking and Elsbeth admitted to all the evidence she had against the late judge.

The widow pretended to respect the case. She even offered Elsbeth friendship. She said she wouldn’t honor the judge’s memory every again. Until she went home to burn the sole evidence against Crawford in the death of a young girl.

THE END!
