General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, May 9, reveals that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) made a Michael Corinthos (last played by Chad Duell) revelation that stunned Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson). Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also struggled with some pain during Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) pitch, so here’s how it all went down.
At the law office, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) met with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about their adoption plans.
Brook Lynn admitted to giving up a baby as a teen and worried that would affect their chances of adopting a child now, but Alexis insisted adoption agencies usually focused on current situations.
Chase and Brook Lynn ultimately talked about a closed adoption feeling right for their family.
In a hospital exam room, Sasha was surprised when Willow popped up to be her nurse.
Willow pitched the idea of coming together as a family since their children were all part of the Quartermaine clan.
However, Sasha balked at Willow’s olive branch and basically complained about Willow shutting Michael out.
Willow argued that Micheal was the one who shut out her instead since he refused to see her when she went to visit him in Germany.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) asked if Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was threatening to charge Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) with manslaughter, but Dante was just trying to convey how serious the situation was.
Dante insisted Jason hadn’t been the present father that Danny needed, so Jason felt guilty about that and opened up to Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) later about shifting his priorities.
Once Danny made it to Lulu Spencer’s (Alexia Havins Bruening) house, she spoke to him briefly and got confirmation that Danny knew what he did was wrong.
Danny apologized to Lulu as well as Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) for dragging him into all the party chaos.
Rocco didn’t blame Danny, who agreed to help Rocco clean the house since that was Lulu’s punishment for him.
Dante eventually arrived and gave Danny a little more attitude, but Rocco privately urged his dad to back off since he was responsible for his own choice to drink.
Dante settled down and later acknowledged that both boys knew they messed up.
After all their hard cleaning work, Danny and Rocco were allowed to take a break upstairs. Lois came over to apologize to Dante, who apologized to her as well.
Now that he’d cooled off, Dante was more understanding about Lois’ defense of Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
After Lulu made a phone call about L&B records and some old tour dates, she met up with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) later and got him talking about Lois’ past on the road.
Ned mentioned that Brook Lynn missed six months of her senior year because Lois took her on tour, too.
Once Sasha crossed paths with Jason, she surprised him with updates on her conversation with Willow.
Jason confessed it was his idea for Willow to visit Michael in Germany, but Sasha shocked him with the news that Michael turned her away.
Back at GH, Willow was grateful since Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) coverage of Drew’s latest ordeal hadn’t been salacious.
Although Willow hoped Curtis would publish an article about Drew being drugged against his will, Curtis argued they couldn’t be sure of that.
After Willow met up with Drew and embraced him, she felt something in his coat pocket jab her.
Drew pulled out the small envelope that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) had given him and encouraged Willow to look inside.
As Willow examined the tiny vial the envelope contained, Drew claimed it was a vitamin infusion that his doctor had given him.
Once Curtis met up with Portia, he talked about running a story on ketamine as a party drug.
Curtis clearly wanted to make Drew look bad and was taken aback when Portia tried to steer him away from the idea.
At Sonny’s place, Jordan urged him to hear Sidwell out when it came to his pitch to buy Sonny’s piers.
Sidwell acted like the deal would be mutually beneficial since he was willing to pay a premium price.
Once Sonny was no longer tied to the referendum, Sidwell thought the esplanade would likely move forward at the original site.
Sonny felt that was a gamble, but Sidwell argued that he’d be the one taking all the risk while Sonny profited.
At one point, Sonny struggled to stay upright and seemed like he was trying to conceal some pain after his surgery.
Jordan and Sidwell questioned if Sonny was all right, but he downplayed things before getting their meeting back on track.
As Sidwell continued his pitch, he suggested Sonny and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) would no longer be caught up in all this drama.
When Jason visited Sonny’s place later, he found out about Sidwell’s offer. Jason was appalled when Sonny admitted he was actually considering it.
Finally, Sidwell sauntered in Alexis’ office for some help with the legal paperwork and made a prediction about the major real estate purchase he was about to make.
General Hospital spoilers say Sidwell could be gaining more control in Port Charles, which could be a dangerous thing for all its residents!
