General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, October 16, reveals that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) had a cult escape lie for Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) while Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) cried over Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) truth.
At Carly’s place, she told Jason about S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) being in the WSB and defended Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) deception.
Carly believed Brennan when he said that Josslyn wasn’t in any danger.
However, Jason insisted Brennan was a liar and explained how he’d roped Josslyn into the WSB as well.
Carly refused to believe it at first, but Jason shared how he found Josslyn on an undercover mission in Croatia after Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) pointed him there.
Once Carly accepted this was true, she cried over Brennan’s lies and realized Jason had kept this news from her since his return with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Jason admitted he’d made a promise to Josslyn, but now he was coming clean.
Jason also speculated that Josslyn’s Easter Island trip was a cover for when she first joined the WSB and went into training.
Carly wanted to get Josslyn out, but Jason warned about the danger of blowing her daughter’s cover.
In a distraught and angry moment, Carly threw the vase of flowers from Brennan and smashed it against the wall.
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, Molly was glad to finally see Ric and asked where he’d been.
Ric seemed like he might tell Molly the truth, but he eventually stuck with the digital detox lie and claimed that he’d gotten sucked into a cult.
After Ric claimed he drank ayahuasca tea and wound up running in the woods, he said Outback found him.
Ric credited Cody with saving him before Molly insisted on getting him to the hospital.
At GH, Ric reunited with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and became a patient there following his ordeal.
Although Ric didn’t tell Liz the truth about his time in captivity, he did admit to her that he hadn’t been working pro bono for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
Molly nearly kissed Cody on a bench in the corridor, but Elizabeth interrupted before their lips could meet.
Back with Alexis, Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), they confirmed all the money was where it should be.
Alexis still had some concerns about Ric and Cody, but Ava and Kristina were convinced they’d stay quiet.
At Steinmeuer, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) added another condition and wanted to speak with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) before he divulged anything about Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project.
Brennan insisted Valentin should stick with their deal, especially since Anna wanted nothing to do with him.
Although Brennan was convinced that Faison was deceased, he believed the baddie’s work lived on.
Valentin didn’t think Faison would trust Britt to be in charge of anything and confirmed that someone else was involved, but he didn’t have a name for Brennan.
All Valentin could say was that the project was still going and that the person running it was just as committed as Faison had been.
At the PCPD, Anna talked to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Charlotte Cassadine’s (Bluesy Burke) visit to Valentin and how it obviously happened because Brennan wanted something in return.
Anna didn’t like the timing of Brennan turning to Valentin for info right after Britt and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) had rejoined the land of the living.
Although Faison was supposedly dead, Anna knew you could never rule anything out with him.
After Anna noted that Valentin previously worked with Faison, Dante brought up the fact that Valentin and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) were close at one time.
However, Anna mentioned that Faison was fixated on his other son, Nathan.
Dante knew Nathan wouldn’t willingly become part of anything related to Faison, but Anna suggested maybe that’s why he couldn’t recall the last seven years of his life.
Anna considered the possibility that Nathan was tangled up in Faison drama somehow.
At the Metro Court, Nathan and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) ran into Britt.
That led to more mother-daughter clashing, but Nathan pushed Liesl to focus on the fact that she had both her children back.
Just as Britt was about to get in the elevator, the doors opened to reveal Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
Britt realized Rocco was joining Nathan and Liesl, so she stuck around to sit at their table.
Faison’s name came up during the conversation, so Rocco hinted that maybe he wasn’t so bad since people had been wrong about Liesl and Britt.
However, Britt was adamant that Faison was a horrible man and acted glad about his fatal outcome.
On the jet home to Port Charles, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) warned Charlotte about the risks when it came to her link to Valentin and pushed for honest communication.
At one point, Rocco took a selfie with Liesl, Nathan and Britt, so Charlotte saw it had been posted as she scrolled her phone.
Since Valentin warned Charlotte not to trust Britt, she seemed concerned.
General Hospital spoilers say Britt and Charlotte no doubt have some conflict brewing, so stay tuned for updates on any fierce faceoffs ahead.
