Two kayakers found a body in the ocean. The body was in a casket. There was one kayaker that thought it might be treasure and so she opened it only to find a dead body inside. The victim was American Naval Petty Officer Ezra Stokes. He was twenty-two. He was on leave int the city. He was expected back on board the night before he was found, but that’s not what stood out with the case. The victim died from exsanguination. He was bled dry of blood. He was bitten by something smaller than a dog and larger than a mosquito on his neck that emptied him of blood.

Naturally, Doc Roy suggested this could be the result of a vampire attack. It was said in good fun only DeShawn was still spooked. He has a thing about vampires. The stories creep him out. It also doesn’t help that Ezra had tickets to the “Hell Hole” on him when he was found. It was like the Hard Rock cafes of goth clubs. There were probably a lot of wannabe vampires there and none of which mattered to Mackey. She didn’t want to break the news to Erza’s family that he had been killed by a vampire. And so Mackey handled this one personally.

Ezra was found in an unique coffin. It was a special order. The creator made twenty-five of them and they all sold to Dawn Lazar. She was the owner of “Kiss Of Death”. It was a vodka company. It’s been in the Lazar family for centuries. They ordered the coffins to do some promotional stuff. They put ice and vodka in them when they when they celebrated the owner’s birthday at the Hell Hole. The woman herself also happens to have sharpened fangs. She was beautiful and Mackey kinda had a crush on her. They talked. Dawn admitted she played up the vampire angle.

It’s part of her brand. She said she does not drink blood. However, plenty of people do. Blue looked into it. She found out that modern day vampires either drink blood directly from the host or they drink it from a cup. It turns out they were plenty of people that drank from a host. They believe they could imbibe the host spirit that way. Dawn pretends to be one of them when really she’s just selling vodka. The company has been passed down from mother to daughter for years. Dawn’s daughter Celeste doesn’t want any part of the legacy.

Dawn’s son was of a different opinion. Atticus wanted to build the brand into something bigger. It’s why they have so many promotional stuff. Neither Dawn nor her son knew how Ezra wound up in one of their coffins. NCIS also couldn’t connect them to Ezra. He stayed out late that night because he wanted to meet up with a woman calling herself Vampirca that he met online. Mackey would know about that because she was a goth. She did the whole black lipstick and upside down cross earrings in high school. Blue found photos of her that she shared with the team. It’s also why this case doesn’t faze Mackey.

Mackey didn’t take Dawn at her word. She took Dawn’s straw hoping to find a DNA match to the saliva found on Ezra’s neck. Sadly, the salt water destroyed the evidence. It also gave Doc an idea. He realized that Dawn must have used a fang smith to create her fangs. He reached out to the company. They have mold of Dawn’s teeth and it was match to Ezra’s wounds. Dawn drank his blood on the night of her birthday party. Mackey and JD went to go talk to her again. They found her drinking her business manager’s blood. Dawn lied about it not being her thing. It’s actually her kink.

Dawn eventually admitted to drinking from Ezra. Her boy toy doesn’t mind. They first met when he came with her daughter to a party and now he lets Dawn drink him. Dawn claimed she didn’t want to admit to drinking from Ezra because she knew it would look bad. She also claimed she had no reason to kill him. The dead doesn’t taste as nice as the living. Ezra even had a rare blood type. He was AB Negative. The boy toy said that it was like a rare wine. He wasn’t upset that Dawn was drinking from other men because he has a pretty common blood type.

It probably helped that things ended at the blood drinking. Dawn admitted to a quick cuddle with Ezra, but it doesn’t go further than that and again Dawn had no reason to kill Ezra. Doc checked Ezra over. He was drained of all his blood through a puncture at his belly button. Someone used a bloodletting tool to drain him. The best bet for that was Vampirca. Blue found her. Her real name is Celeste Lazar. Dawn’s daughter. Celeste was dating Ezra for two yeas long distance. She didn’t want to introduce him to her mom because she was worried her mom would steal him. Like she did with the other one.

Anyways, Celeste must have a had a change of heart. He was invited to the birthday party. The next thing she knew Ezra was off with Dawn. NCIS later spoke with Celeste. She claimed her mother had a power that couldn’t be denied or ignored. If she wanted someone, she would summon them to her. Dawn showed up suddenly at their office and she wanted to confess to the crime. The team was wrong for thinking Celeste killed Ezra out of jealousy. Dawn said she killed Ezra. She also said that it had been an accident.

Dawn took the team back to her house. It’s where she took Ezra. She said after she tasted Ezra, she wanted more of him. She hooked Ezra up to the bloodletting machine she has in a secret room in her cellar. Dawn said she must have fallen asleep because she woke up to find Ezra dead. She then got rid of the body. It was a lie because she didn’t know how Ezra was found. She also wasn’t strong enough to carry him or the coffin. Dawn was dying of breast cancer. She didn’t have the strength to do any of it.

She believes that AB Negative would cure her. Its why her daughter seeks out men with that blood type. She was supposed to get them for her mother and she didn’t want to do that with Ezra. She fell in love with him. She also didn’t invite him to the party. Someone else invited him. It turns out that Ezra was roofied that night. Dawn was also roofied when she drank his blood. It’s why she passed out with Ezra still connected to the machine. Dawn and Celeste didn’t kill Ezra. Ezra was killed by Dawn’s son. The one everyone ignored.

The company passes from mother to daughter. Everyone looked to Celeste as the future of the company. They never looked at the son. He was the one working for the company. He built the company up more than his mother ever did. He also killed Ezra hoping to take down both mother and daughter so that the company will be all his. He just used vampirism to carry out the crime. He knew about the roofies. He knew he had them stashed in his sister’s room. And so when Celeste showed up at the party claiming their mother was arrested after the roofies were found in Dawn’s room, he accidentally corrected her.

It was enough for NCIS to arrest him. He was working with the boy toy. They tried to steal everything Dawn has. The team later went back to their office after they wrapped up the case and that’s when Mackey had her revenge. She knew it was JD that had Blue look into her past. In revenge, she went digging through JD’s past. She found some promotional photos he did for his mother’s friend’s salon. She managed to get a cutout of it to share with the rest of the office. And that was just the start of her revenge tonight.
