The Bold and the Beautiful Thursday, April 17 Recap: Finn Disowns Luna After Sheila’s Plea – Hope’s Sympathy for Steffy

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Thursday, April 17, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) disowned Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) after Sheila Sharpe’s (Kimberlin Brown) plea. Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) also had some sympathy for Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), so here’s how it all went down in Thursday’s show.

At the hospital, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was eager to go home, but Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) and Finn wanted him to focus on taking his recovery one step at a time.

After Finn headed to his office, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) found him deep in thought over Luna. After Li went on a rant about Poppy Nozawa’s (Romy Park) actions, she warned Finn that Luna couldn’t be part of his life.

Back with Steffy, she talked to Bridget and Liam about the whole Luna situation. Liam was worried about Finn’s feelings toward Luna and hoped the fact that she was his biological daughter didn’t change his desire to see her in prison.

On Thursday’s B&B episode, Steffy was adamant that Finn understood and just wanted Liam to concentrate on getting better.

At Il Giardino, Luna was grateful to be spending time with Sheila, but she wished they didn’t have to keep meeting in secret. Sheila made a prediction about getting through to Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) eventually.

In the meantime, Sheila brought up Finn and felt confident that he would ultimately come to accept Luna.

Although Luna didn’t seem as convinced – especially due to Steffy standing in the way – her grandma was done letting Steffy overstep. Sheila insisted she was determined to bring Finn and Luna together.

On Luna’s way out of the restaurant, she paused to look at Tom Starr (Clint Howard) and Paul “Hollis” Hollister’s (Hollis W. Chambers) photos on the memorial wall. Luna also flashed back to an earlier conversation with Finn about he couldn’t get past what she did.

After Deacon finished his pep talk at Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) place, Hope wanted to return the favor by being her dad’s confidant.

Hope mentioned Luna being Sheila’s granddaughter, so Deacon acknowledged that things had been difficult. However, Deacon pointed out that when he gave Sheila an ultimatum, she chose him and agreed to push Luna out of the picture.

Hope didn’t seem as convinced that Sheila would actually keep her promise and basically wanted Deacon to be careful. Since Hope knew Finn’s bio daughter revelation was a mess for Steffy, she actually felt for her, too.

When Sheila showed up in Finn’s office, he immediately pushed her to leave. Sheila wanted to stick around and talk about the good news now that Finn had made her a grandmother all over again through Luna.

After Finn angrily ran down the list of Luna’s crimes, Sheila tried to highlight Luna’s regrets. Sheila also pointed out that the situation could’ve been different if Luna had been given the positive support she needed early on.

Once Sheila played up Finn’s blood bond to Luna, she pushed him not to make Luna go another day without her father.

Although Finn believed Luna wouldn’t have gone after Tom, Hollis and Steffy if he’d been able to be a dad to her, it didn’t change what she’d done. That’s why blood or no blood, Finn declared that Luna was no daughter of his!
