The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Michael’s Deception – Continues to Work for Victor Behind Lauren’s Back?

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Michael’s Deception, Continues to Work for Victor Behind Lauren’s Back

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) pulled out all the stops when it came to romance and some surprising news for Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) during the Wednesday, May 21 episode.

Michael rented out the GCAC jazz lounge with a pianist who took requests, so that he and Lauren could spend a special night together and have the place all to themselves.

The two drank some fun bevies and danced closely, although Lauren was more than skeptical about what her husband was up to.

She had no issue bringing up the elephant in the room – Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) – as the two had been fighting about her husband’s employer for a long while now.

Michael has been put in both dangerous and unethical positions during his tenure as Victor’s lawyer.

With that said, Victor has been good to Michael, and he’s also acted as a father figure to the attorney.

Michael genuinely cares for Victor, and this shows. So, imagine the conflicted feelings he has had, as his wife has begged him, time and time again to stop working for the man.

Still, Lauren is and continues to be Michael’s top priority. You don’t stay married for as long as they have without this type of commitment!

After a long-winded speech that outlined all the bad experiences he had with Victor, Michael shocked his wife by apologizing for ever having her believe that work came before their marriage.

To her disbelief, he told her that she came first, always, and that he’d be leaving his job with Victor.

Lauren was stunned to say the least; however, she reminded Michael that he’d done this before and eventually had always gone back to work for Victor.

Michael assured her that this time would be different, but it’s hard to believe that he’ll stay true to this.

After all, Victor is not a person who is used to getting rejected. Plus, Michael is in the middle of an important assignment.

How do things of this nature work in the land of soaps? Will Michael give his standard two weeks’ notice, or quit on the spot?

Then again, could Victor manipulate Michael into staying until the ‘Jabot’ plan is completed?

Victor may promise zero repercussions over Michael’s insolence in light of the fact that he’s doing it for Lauren’s sake and peace of mind.

Lauren has been a great friend to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and the Newman family in general, so Victor may give Michael a pass, as long as he finishes this one final assignment.

Still, if Michael goes back to Lauren and tells her this, she’ll roll her eyes. She may even start a fight!

After all, Michael assured her during the Wednesday, May 21 show, he was done with Victor’s orders.

Will Michael remain working with Victor and lie to Lauren about this? The May 21 announcement from Michael seems too clean-cut for the lawyer to quit and simply move on!

The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Victor has a way of causing drama and chaos in everyone’s life, so it’s not hard to imagine he’ll attempt to keep Michael working on his Jabot revenge scheme until the damage is done – but will this damage also spill out onto Michael’s marriage in the process?
