Edward was finding life in the U.S. to be a little different than back home. He was originally from the Dominican Republic. He left it to marry Marissa and its clear that he’s not used to so many rules. He needed to be reminded to wear a seatbelt when they drove.

That one wasn’t so bad. He also didn’t care for taking his shoes off at home and that was a dealbreaker to Marissa. He did on the other hand received the chance to share the main bathroom with her. Marissa’s ex-husband didn’t get off so lucky on that rule so all that she asked was that everything be kept tidy in there. Or Edward will end up like the ex-husband.

Mallorie however was playing with fire. She knew that her fiancé didn’t like her close friendship with Brandon. Mallorie had a situationship with Brandon at one point and the two were still too close for comfort. Of course, Rasit was going to feel a little upset about it.

It probably left him feeling insecure about their relationship. It could be why Rasit was so cold to Brandon when he visited the house. There was unnecessary tension. Brandon felt it. Rasit felt it. Mallorie was the only one that acted like she had no clue why her fiancé would be jealous about an ex she’s still pretty close to.

Rasit even tried to set up boundaries. He didn’t want Brandon stopping by or for the friendship to continue so he tried to create some distance. It didn’t work. Mallorie thought it was so high school. She refused to choose. Brandon was a great friend.

They no longer had a romantic relationship. Brandon was also there for her after her car accident. He took care of her dogs during that time. He’s the one that called her family to tell them about the car accident and so Brandon was always going to be in the picture.

Mallorie made that known. Not that it worked on convincing Rasit. Rasit would prefer to never meet someone that once slept with his future wife. He made that plain and so when Mallorie chose to ignore him – Rasit decided to talk to Brandon himself.

He was gearing up to do that when Ashia’s loved ones once again tried to warn her fiancé. Ashia was in love and unfortunately that meant she ignored the many signs trying to warn her off of Maxwell. She ignored the fact that he got turned down for a K-1 visa for suspected fraud.

She ignored the loud ducks when she went to a faith based prophet to try to get Maxwell stateside. Like how is God supposed to hear over that aviary. She was once again ignored the signs tonight when someone tried to mention that maybe this Maxwell wasn’t being entirely honest with her.

Maybe she shouldn’t go to Nigeria to meet someone who probably was lying to her about a whole bunch of stuff. She still got on the plane to see him. She firmly believed that God was on her side. And everyone was just hoping she didn’t get scammed by that man.

Then there was poor Josh. Josh left a good life in the UK because of a hot mess named Catie. Catie had him sign a twelve month lease to a new place without ever viewing it in person. She said she took the virtual tour or at least tried to do so before her attention probably got caught by something else.

This on top of the cheating won’t end well. Josh wishes he had known certain things before signing a piece of paper. He also didn’t realize how childish she was until he showed up in the States to marry her.

Catie was the type to laugh at her own farts. She thought that was funny to do so in a car and not say “excuse me”. She didn’t seem to take life seriously in the slightest. Josh soon saw for himself that she couldn’t be counted on when it really mattered. She was poor at communication.

The same as Mido. Mido was the superstar in Egypt and he was finding life in New Orleans to be a lot more mundane now that there wasn’t anyone to act as his paparazzi. His fiancé Debby upset him when she took a photo of him by accident when he asked for video.

Mido got upset. The same goes for Debby. She threw her phone in his lap. He said she threw it in his face. He also claimed that the Quran was firmly on his side on the wife respecting the husband. One problem with that, sir. They’re not married yet. He hasn’t even given her a ring.

Debby then demanded one to support his great dream of making it big in the United States. She let him know that she wanted a marriage. She didn’t want to be considered merely as his fan. She wanted to be his wife and all that entails.

Mido kept saying it would come in time. It was a cop out. He doesn’t actually care about her. It was the same old same old. He was using her to get his visa and Catie doesn’t care about Josh either. The apartment turned out to be fine. It was a little sterile.

There was a lot of white walls. A lot of cement flooring. Catie said she had a lot of rugs and they could always get more. The place ended up being a lot nicer than Josh thought it was going to look like. They also needed curtains because lots of windows was only great in theory.

Catie talked a lot about toys during the couple’s travels. Josh knew she would like to try some out. He just didn’t expect the sex toy she bought would be waiting for them at their new apartment. The strap on had looked a little dangerous to him.

He didn’t want to play with it anymore now that it was real. He told Catie and all she could do was laugh because she still wanted to use it. Josh did his best to get her to move onto a different topic. Anything else. It worked in the sense that they didn’t test-drive it that night, but she did warn him at least that was something she wanted to try.

Edward was figuring out why Marissa was so skinny. She had protein shakes for breakfast. Not a meal full of protein. Merely the shakes. She thought that would be enough for him and he said he was hungry. He hadn’t eaten anything the night before.

He was too busy worried about his new package and if their sex life would be the same. Now, that its confirmed that its same, he wanted food. Marissa gave him some store bought hard boiled eggs. They weren’t eggs in the carton. They were pre-boiled eggs. She bought them that way.

There was also about two to three in the package so they didn’t fill Edward. Then they had to exercise because that’s Marissa’s routine. She really had a lot of rules and the most important one will be for him not to lose his cool when he met her ex-husband. Her ex wanted to meet the man that will be around their children. Fair. Its just that both men have tempers.

Marissa was worried one would set off the other and she couldn’t move forward with the relationship if they clashed. She had to put her kids first. And making sure she could coparent with her ex was what best served her kids in the long run.

Marissa was right to be worried because her ex was weird right off the bat. He said Edward wasn’t as little as he thought. He tried to intimidate him in front of the kids. He got a little better when he said that he wasn’t a great husband and that he seeks to be a good ex-husband.

He wants to support Marissa in her new life, but he didn’t stop with the threats. He said that Edward just had to lose his temper around his kids and he’d knocked down the door to check him. Understandable. It just would’ve made more sense to befriend him rather than antagonize him on day one.

Things also took a racist turn in Alabama. It’s where Mallorie and Rasit were staying. They were living in a small town and unfortunately came across an ignorant person that likened Rasit with a terrorist. Rasit took it a lot better than Mallorie. Mallorie was ready to fight to defend her man’s honor. Rasit pointed out that there were bad people in both Islam and Christianity.

It shouldn’t be enough to paint everyone as the enemy. He had a point. Also, Mallorie seemed to be worried about the future and felt she had to put the racist in their place or risk Rasit getting the same treatment later on when she wasn’t around.

Mallorie would later take her fiancé to the most redneck party ever. They purposely made it that way to welcome Rasit. Mallorie’s friends called it the “White Trash Bash”. They deliberately portrayed themselves as the most stereotypes of what people think of Alabamians.

They also gave Rasit a makeover. It was going great until Brandon reminded Rasit that he was there. Now, he can claim that he was just trying to befriend him and everyone will know that was a lie. He knew about the tension the other day. And he purposely got in Rasit’s face tonight.

So, Rasit tried to talk to him one on one and it didn’t go well because Brandon mentioned in his confessional that he can easily choose violence any day.

And Ashia’s deep supposed love of Maxwell might be more shallow than she admits.

THE END!
